ANZUS treaty signed in 1951 (AU, NZ, USA)

Article V

For the purpose of Article IV, an armed attack on any of the Parties is deemed to include an armed attack on the metropolitan territory of any of the Parties, or on the island territories under its jurisdiction in the Pacific or on its armed forces, public vessels or aircraft in the Pacific.

You’re right.

I suppose my point was more hypothetical i.e whether or not as individuals we would go over to help our potential Australian State as I generally like kiwis.

As for treaties, a tribute to your knowledge of Australian Foreign Policy follows:

As you know, Chamberlain is now seen in a very good light. Not well known, but a close friend of Churchill, they got on very well.

Independent journalism in Russia.

The Australian media also leaves a lot to be desired.

For the most part, it thinks it’s audience has the intelligence of the average 12 year old.

News Ltd is especially cringe worthy but not alone. Aided and abetted in telling people to suck eggs by government agencies.

It’s like a giant information Mardi-Gras vortex, sucks you into the conga line following the performers that you can’t escape from.

We were chilling last night a few of us downing a few, watching the Mardi Gras on TV.

Seemed to be 5000 performers and about only 3 people in the crowd. A guy walking his dog, his mate Ralph and the groundskeeper.

Each to their own Gronky.

Plenty of support for the ukkies.

Having said that, the Kremlin Float was another good one this year:

They never let us down.

It's not that they think we are dumb, it's that for the most part they know we aren't engaged, and that folks will trust the media outlets of their choice.

Trump scorched for 'drunk uncle' proposal to start a massive war between Russia and China
Jim Watson/AFP

In an address to Republican Party donors in New Orleans on Saturday, Donald Trump suggested the United States attempt to set off a massive war between Russia and China, and then Americans could "sit back and watch " what happens.

According to a tweet from Washington Post investigative reporter Josh Dawsey, the former president proposed using an American aircraft with the flag of China on them should enter Russian airspace and "bomb the sh*t out of Russia."

As Dawsey wrote, "Trump mused to donors that we should take our F-22 planes, 'put the Chinese flag on them and bomb the shit out' out of Russia. 'And then we say, China did it, we didn't do, China did it, and then they start fighting with each other and we sit back and watch.'"

Nice to see that even during the Ukraine War, The Australian can still find a way to sledge the ABC.

You might remember Tabakoff during the Eels salary cap shit fight.

Thanks Gronky.

One of many captured ruskies seemingly saying similar things.

Doesn’t seem to be under any duress at all.

He needs an express route out of the conflict.

It’s important for the Ukkies to show their compassion and humanity.

The decision to stop males of fighting age from leaving was an ukkie government optics error. Fight by choice not force.

Hey Gronklette, in the interest of balance, as you are a media analyst guy, I ask you, should we not hear from Russian soldiers who have another view?? Any thoughts on this proposition?

I’m not with the program, but I’m guessing you're suggesting we invite him and his family here, pay his way over etc only to lose his paperwork, arrest and detain him?

Or Dutton stamps his passport “ not genuine refugee”

And before long he’s wishing he was back in his tank, blowing up Chernobyl and otherwise invading a friendly neighbour?

Yes, I can see that.
