Scomo apparently banned TV cameras (out of "respect", lol), but took along his own official photographer - says it all really.

Though the photogrpaher reportedly didn't take any shots... I guess the pic in the tweet of community reaction to the scummy man is the reason why?

re: SES - i heard they are only allowed to respond to officially recorded requests for help. Yet when shit was going down it was rather hard to make such a request. So they often sat on the sidelines while people did what they could themselves.

That's the trouble with control and command style organisations like the Army and SES - sometimes they don'tadd any value at all if their ideal conditions for "leadership" and instruction etc are absent from the given scenario. I think the ADF-led vaccine stroll out and their assistance into aged care have been pretty impotent for similar reasons?

Apparently there was some social media outrage the other day because the ADF had a film crew with them filming what they do

Someone filmed em and there were about 8 of em at one house chucking rubbish with a dude with a tripod filming it. Social media dude was unimpressed - think he thought it was a pr stunt and no other adf dudes were helping anywhere else.

Then there was social media backlash at the social media backlash .... as expected.

Head ADF dude was on today show saying they alway film themselves. ... i suppose the govt wants to be able to show some shit it going on.

And now Scummo's funding announcement leaves out the Laeor seat so they won't get the same national disaster benefit? This guy's advisors need to drop the constant politicking and get the PM to do just one thing that is at least relatable/believable on a basic human level.
