TBH what is happening in Ukraine is front of mind for me mostly. I am concerned how the world is keeping it’s hands in it pockets and doing f**k all. China might as well take Taiwan next week, cos we won’t do anything about it.

Meanwhile, did anyone notice that we JUST avoided a nuclear war yesterday ? India “accidentally” shot a missile at Pakistan. Both India and Pakistan have nuclear weapons pointed at each other and are not friends.

TBH what is happening in Ukraine is front of mind for me mostly. I am concerned how the world is keeping it’s hands in it pockets and doing f**k all. China might as well take Taiwan next week, cos we won’t do anything about it.

Meanwhile, did anyone notice that we JUST avoided a nuclear war yesterday ? India “accidentally” shot a missile at Pakistan. Both India and Pakistan have nuclear weapons pointed at each other and are not friends.

Maybe a lot of folks are more concerned with our countrymen having nowhere to live an no prospect of getting back in to their homes any time soon after the recent floods.

Imagining that this country has any sway or significance on what might transpire in North eastern Europe or the f**king sub-continent is naive in the extreme. Releasing a 1 pager saying "Russia are Merkins, China and India, Keep it in yer pants" would be sufficient.

We're a middle power, any influence or sway we hold is in our ability to form partnerships with other states and countries and argue our positions within those forums, and traditionally we have been pretty effective at doing that.

Exactly and our allies (green) have applied sanctions and send military support.

My point really is that invasions are palatable to countries who are prepared cop a bit of flack, because we are obviously inimical to WWIII. Just shows that the cold war never ceased.

A while ago, I saw a tv show and the deliberate use of antiquated software in nuclear missile silos in the us. Ie, not connected to the internet. Makes sense.

The rhetoric against China continues unabated as we seem to have committed to defending Taiwan. Not sure we could win that one.

Do you find it interesting that Australia extends it's research into our Pacific neighbours universities ?

Foreign aid takes many forms. We don't have study facilities on PNG soil because we need to. Of late we have been doing it to stop the Chinese cutting our grass.

Clicked on an lu ad by the Union covering Maccas. Allegedly they are taking maccas to court over unpaid breaks.

10 minute breaks after 4 hour shifts and Maccas was docking them. Straight out of Charles Dickens. Mean as mean can be.

Treat your employees like garbage and they leave and then as we know, for whatever reason, the trainees struggle after the number of items of any given order hits 4. Not their fault, but frustrating.

I suppose it’s just a matter of time before we touchscreen orders, pay and then robotics takes over the preparation and service.
