So our useless PM hasn't even contacted the Solomons PM, before during or after they signed up with China. The ARL fought harder to keep defecting Super League clubs back in the day, than our LNP government have fought to retain Solomon Islands as an ally on our doorstep!

And the US is going to "fast track" an embassy there now... what, just so they can act haughty and withdraw their ambassador when the Chinese miltary turn up to honour their agreement?

Was listening to Radio National yesterday. Merkin from the US was on and he said that as a result of the SI / China security pact, they will reopen the US embassy immediately. He said that it has been closed for 30 years and they have paid the price of “outsourcing” pacific relations. 😳 Wow, savage take down of AU.

The security pact essentially is an agreement that China will at all times step in an assist SI to defend their sovereignty. In return, the SI has agreed that if any Chinese nationals on SI soil are in need of protection, Chinese military may intervene on SI soil without notice.

It cannot be understated what a shambles this is for the pacific region.

The letterbox flyer for the local United Australia Party candidate is telling me i should put the Libs last of the major parties.

So I guess that can be the Libs excuse if they lose. Uncle Clive payrolled a labor win.
