mate, why all the put downs ? there are better ways to debate

play the ball, not the man

Because he can't.

Sorry but I find this very frustrating and tedious that I have to actually defend my position that the global elites themselves are telling anyone who cares to listen that they are going to f**k us up. All of us.

You will own nothing ffs and be happy. Build back better = Austerity and the great reset is neo-feudalism. They describe their plans all the time and I have yet to here any of them describe a world any of us would care to be part of or live in. The future that they keep telling us all about and describing is a nightmare.

Anyone here think it isn't and if so why?

It isn't

Because that's a right wing nutter shit take on their whole ethos, and has no basis in reality.

You only find it frustrating because you can't argue your position logically and with actual evidence. I get you believe it, that's nice and all, but it's not at all convincing.

No I expected exactly what I got, which is very sad for our country and the world overall. I wonder how authoritarian rulers and or governments ever take power? Do you think that the general population never saw or believed it was possible, I wonder?

I mean Hell, these sneaky leaders or governments must have one day just snuck in at the dead of night and seized power while everyone was sleeping. Maybe we should all sleep with one eye open just in case.
usually the first step in authoritarian rule is to make up a pretend enemyn (e.g. global elites) that is all powerful and is out to destroy our way of life (e.g. take your overpriced house and gas guzzler away)

you seem to be struggling getting any traction with that first step

On the other hand I think you have to disprove what they are saying and doing but you can't dismiss what they are saying they want to do or are doing because they actually say they want to do it, but for now they aren't going to mandate it or they can't get it through. But that doesn't mean they won't eventually get everything they have on their wish list through. It's all about timing.

So lets go for a biggy that everyone should knows is true, "YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND YOU'LL BE HAPPY" have they got that on their agenda.

No sidestepping , just a simple yes or no please.

Well no, I've no need to attempt to disprove what they say or what their goals are, what needs proof is the right wing nut job shit takes about what they say and what their goals are.

No.

It's more red meat being thrown to hungry dogs.

It was (is) nothing more than a discussion piece

That particular essay that got folks all excited proposed how a city might look under a share economy, it is neither a mission statement nor a proposed policy, it's part of a thought experiment.

Nothing more, nothing less.

I'm curious to know when Jo Haylen is going to admit she paid a favour to a mate and awarded him a public service position with a $588 000 salary per year for a position that he wasn't recommended for by the recruiting agency which cost the govt $125 000 to oversee.
This whole scenario stinks and it has only taken the govt 6 months to fall back into their old corrupt ways.
Jo?
Minns supporting her just makes a mockery of his election promise of cleaning up government.
Grubs. The lot of them.

Meanwhile in bigger issues... on October 14 “every Australian will have a once-in-a-generation chance to bring this country together”.

Someone explain the referendum to me. What will happen if we vote YES?
Some words will be added in the constitution as Chapter IX, recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first people of Australia - and allowing them to form (vote for) their representative body (the Voice), which can be an official channel of offering Indigenous viewpoint to the government on issues relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

And the world doesn't end.

This. The Ram has just been talking in generalisations and every time he’s cornered and pivots to some other bullshit.

To make broader assertions there needs to be an underlying basis in fact. Shame he doesn’t want to engage honestly on the issues.

Laughable at the ignorance of the current state govt and "bigger issues" comment.
I assume corruption and jobs for the boys is actually ok now.
Someone here has gone particularly quiet and ignorant on this issue.

From what I can see, the previous mob were fairly dodgy as well. I think this sort of rubbish happens on both sides of politics.

He made the mistake of suggesting that one side was better than the other. Rookie move.

That's what happens when you can only see one side of politics as good, and the other side evil.
All of a sudden, Jo Haylen's issue is irrelevant, yet the previous govt's "job's for the boys" was a massive issue.
Not just for Bart/Phantom or whoever he calls himself these days to try and dodge the mods, but for the state premier as well.
