So what he doesn't anymore? You know this how?
he doesn't post here anymore mate, so no idea wtf he does now
So what he doesn't anymore? You know this how?
No it wasn’t. A woman being mansplained about her body is a perfect analogy for an ingenious person being told what is good for them by the people that colonised their land. The outrageous slippery slope arguments, the distractions and deceptions she used were pretty much on point to the NO campaign right now.
The Australian Indigenous Voice to Parliament is like women being told what to do with their bodies by men regarding their reproductive rights because both situations involve a group seeking autonomy and self-determination. Just as women should have the right to make decisions about their own bodies, Indigenous Australians should have the right to have a say in matters that directly affect their communities and cultural heritage without external interference. It's about respecting autonomy and ensuring that those most affected by decisions have a meaningful voice in the process.
Yes I know that you and I come from different political planets. However we will never agree on the the uber conservative denial position that seems to be bandied about these days. This statement is total crap. It is just weasel words use to make all the rest of us feel like we did something wrong and invaded a settled civilization that had total control and commerce over the whole of Australia at the time, which of course it never was.
How do lets say and I'll be generous with the numbers here, one million people of primarily a hunter gather type of people occupying a piece of land the size of 7.688 million km² lay claim to the whole thing when you and everyone else knows that they themselves came in dribs and drabs and colonised it in the first place over a 100m years. Oh and you don't think each new group or tribe didn't covet the land that an earlier group or tribe had sort of settled on and maybe killed them for it?
So then European man comes along and say hey this land is basically unoccupied and the few people that already occupy it are barely scratching out a living. But there is plenty of room for all of us and so the new group just did what the older group/tribes did before hand over millions of years and stated to move in too.
But this time with a difference. This time the new group brought new technologies and knowhow that quickly tamed the land and gave everyone including the old group a better fire called electricity. Where there problems between the old group and the new group? You betcha, but as time moved on those problems get less and les to the point now that for most people the new group and old group are indistinguishable in both appearance and social status. Of course there re still some problem areas, but the lack of money or support generally isn't the problem in these areas, but corruption and mismanagement are the culprits.
Over all though it has taken a while, around two hundred years or so, but most people from either group would say both groups are better, stronger and happier together then they ever were apart. Except this strange sub group of the two groups called the bureaucracy and political class that are strongest when the two main groups are divided and at each other over nonsense that if left alone would be all but forgotten.
If you keep picking at a scab when will it ever heal?
As for the second paragraph, what a load of waffling niceties that in the real world would create two Australia's and never see us all as one harmonious happy people and Australians, but two types of Australian.
Again I ask, if you keep picking at a scab when will it ever heal?
Profound! If you keep picking at a scab when will it ever heal?
Yes I know that you and I come from different political planets. However we will never agree on the the uber conservative denial position that seems to be bandied about these days.
As some sort of opposite day critical race theory, merkins are sharing spin about their forefathers traveling around the world spreading flower petals, joy and happiness. As if tyranny and bloodshed of colonisation are necessary in the progress of a nation and the introduction of western technology to third world countries can't happen without a total takeover and obligatory massacre of those who fail to acquiesce.

But we don’t love each other equally and there aren’t equal opportunities for indigenous people. That’s fact and can’t conveniently be swept aside.Stop looking in the rear view mirror mate. We are one people NOW!
You and I had nothing to do with what happened in the past, the good or the bad. What we can do though is make sure we all love each other now EQUALLY and as one big beautiful multi coloured and wonderfully varied nation that has the same rules and laws for all of us without exception.
That's the way to make us all one happy and strong people and Nation. Not this we are all Australian's, but this little group well they get this extra bit of legislation written into the constitution because they are different and got here first and we who came after them made them miserable and stole their birth right from under them.
Imagine telling your 6 children, I love you all, but Nelly, who was born first, well she gets a little more say and extra mash at tea time because she was dudded when all you lot came around.
That family will thrive now won't it?
Profound!
Continuing your analogy I think it is foolish to pretend that the scab isn’t there and to deny people that are trying to put ointment and bandages on it.
It’s not a scab, it’s just a scratch you f**ken soft cocks. Harden up!
The path to reconciliation is first an acknowledgement that there were things that were done that weren’t ideal at all. I think some of it was well intentioned, but poorly executed. Some of it was undeniably f**ked.
You and I weren’t responsible for it, but to deny history with a phony, biased account of what happened doesn’t do anyone any favours.
Also, to suggest after their culture has been destroyed that they are better off because ours is better misses the point entirely.
I don’t have an extreme view on this and firmly believe that indigenous people also have a role to play in reconciliation, but I find your take on this flawed.
I’ve seen people on YouTube say similar things and it’s no surprise that you are again parroting stuff without any real understanding of the issues. You would have been better off providing a link to Douglas Murray who does a much better job of putting forward the arguments you tried to make and doesn’t overreach like you did.
JFC you are acting as if they are asking for all the wealth from the red dirt of Western Australia. Yet you stubbornly won't even budge from the current position. They are still getting analed, yet come to us with a hand of reconciliation. No, no. we can't have that let's ignore the past, quit this silly constitution talk and look to the future !That's the way to make us all one happy and strong people and Nation. Not this we are all Australian's, but this little group well they get this extra bit of legislation written into the constitution because they are different and got here first and we who came after them made them miserable and stole their birth right from under them.
What the f**k are you on about merkin? Here's a tip, scabs don't need ointments and or bandages. They just need fresh air and to be left alone.
No one is denying anything. But we aren't constantly looking back either and want all current Australians to just live together all under the same exact rules and laws as one. Changing the constitution is not doing that at all, but actually creating a division.
The last time I looked around all I see and hear is Aboriginals waxing lyrical about their culture and no one I know or I bet you know has ever tried to stop or destroy any of it. Looking back again buddy helps no one but the phantoms you and you mates keep conjuring up. Take that tin foil hat off mate. You look silly.
Oh so now you can speak for all Aboriginals too I see. Pretending to be a moderate and then having such strong lefty views is typical extreme lefty liberal tactics. You fool no one. You do the same in the footy discussions. You sit on the fence on your big fat splintery arse and then just chime in like the smarty pants voice of reason you pretend to be.
The only person you're fooling is yourself Guts. You're too fat and combersome to be an affective dancing Janet Jackson wannabe.
Only if you want to interpret it that way. This statement is total crap. It is just weasel words use to make all the rest of us feel like we did something wrong and invaded a settled civilization that had total control and commerce over the whole of Australia at the time, which of course it never was.
Quit looking backwards. It’s forwards or burst!Only if you want to interpret it that way.
While "all the rest of us" in the present day weren't part of early European colonization of this land, it doesn't stop us from choosing to say Yes to a small question that might help acknowledge that history and address better unity and outcomes on Australian soil for the future.
What the f**k are you on about merkin?
You were the dickhead who looked back. All I did was point out that your potted summary of history was completely f**ken flawed. If you can’t handle that then that isn’t my problem.
From that you’ve then projected and made a series of statements on behalf of everybody which is a bold move for a self-confessed outsider.
I’ll pay the Janet Jackson insult though but will have it known that I have better norks than her.
No one is. The Voice doesn't penalise anyone, and doesn't unduly favour anyone.we should not be constantly looking back and blaming the current living and breathing non aboriginal Australians for all the past discretions with a view to penalise us/them.
Only if you want to interpret it that way.

The stupid excuse for not raising the Wyangala was that it was too expensiveSurely one of the biggest issues with the budget is with all the expected population increase, an opportunity to store more drinking water and at the same time do some flood mitigation by raising the Warragamba Dam Wall was nixed.
That doesn’t fit with the used car salesman approach of Minns who needs to fall in line with the Greens and Teals on these topics.
Should be an absolute no brainer, but probably as the previous govt. proposed it , then find some stupid excuse not to do it. Sure dredging the river will work , across the political landscape of both parties we just don’t have forward thinking, unfortunately.
I’m not obfuscating and agree that we should be one big happy family. Shouting at people to move on and complaining that someone with privilege is being hard done by isn’t the solution though.Stop obfuscating. I just stated that we should all be one big happy family and we should not be constantly looking back and blaming the current living and breathing non aboriginal Australians for all the past discretions with a view to penalise us/them.
You can't have a happy family if one child is favoured over all the rest.
Move on MOFO!
Oh and give us a look at them norks then you beastly fat bastard. I love a hot chubby!
That's not what the Voice or the referendum is about. What???
Say yes to you eldest sibling getting an extra spoonful or two of lovely creamy mash, while some of you may even get none. Sure where do we sign?
You seem upset? Why do simple, small matters like Constitutional recognition and a Voice advisory body upset you so much? Could it perhaps be unchallenged casual racism that is upsetting you...I mean what's the point if to supposedly make a small section of our people/country happy you upset a massive, much larger group to the point of hating everything about that small group?
*youThis is dividing us, not bring us together.
