Its funny ... they have banged on endlessly about how the opposition will destroy democracy. Well looks like they will now circumvent democracy by having the delegates pick who they want to run instead of allowing the voters to do that in the primary, which is a key part of the USA democratic system ..... they who do what they accuse their enermies of.

Also interesting. There had never/rarely been debates before the candidates for president is announced. Yet they had a debate with Trump n Biden weeks ago. Seems they hung the old fella out to dry.

Well looks like they will now circumvent democracy by having the delegates pick who they want to run instead of allowing the voters to do that in the primary, which is a key part of the USA democratic system ..... they who do what they accuse their enemies of.

Well the voters did pick their candidate in the primaries - where Biden received 87% of votes.

However if the successful candidate has to withdraw because of health circumstances, then there's really no other way than what appears will be how they'll pick the alternate?

Agree with you that having the early debate was likely set up as a test for Biden by his minders, which he has (unexpectedly, or otherwise....) failed.

I would prefer they didn't continue the Banana Republic that has been ramped up for Trump the last couple of years of attempting to lock up political opponents but meh, horses for courses. Could have easily been there turn to go around before 2020 but I genuinely don't think normal people like it.
