Heard this on the weekend. What does a Trump 2.0 Government mean to Australia ?

You were hoping your mortgage interest rates were going down ? Sorry to disappoint.

It's the politics thread you muppet. He will only get talked about when he does dumb shit. That's hardly going to be every day, right ? Right ?

Our rates will still go down in the first quarter next year. As soon as you quote anything from the ABC you know it’s probably bullshit.

First quarter ? NAB said on Friday = May 2025. It keeps going back.

Bolded bit: Such an ignorant comment. The professor lady spoke with immense experience and insight. She is no political hack with an axe to grind. If you have ever heard "USA sneezes, AU catches a cold" - that is what it is all about. Listen to it, even if it is uncomfortable for you.

His not perfect but he is doing a good enough job for mine. I think unlike a lot of politicians he seems to have a better feel at community level.

The teachers and coppers just got payrises.

Should the nurses have been looked after before them. Yeah maybe they should have.

I don't work in any of those industries but we need all of them in the public sector.

I am sure they will get looked after eventually. I haven't been following it closely enough to know what the main problems are the negotiations with the Nurses union and the state government.

What i do know is the state lost a lot of nurses over covid due to having to work themselves into the ground and the state is still feeling the effects of it.
Just in the last week or so:

He's given the cops a huge payrise, far more than the cops expected. Fail Negotiation 101.

His Housing Minister reckons you can rent a flat in Sydney for "a couple of hundred bucks". Does she even realize there is a housing and cost of living crisis?

I don't work, and have never worked, in the occupations/industries involved, neither do my family or friends. I just find the Police/Teachers treatment at the far end of the scale compared to Nursing and wonder why.

So your left wing, pinko, tree hugging praise for Minns leaves me cold :p

I'm a labor supporter, but Minns said last week (paraphrasing) "when we spoke to the nurses, their principle concern was bed to nurse ratio and salary did not even come into it" and I thought - you f**king idiot.

Anyway, he's let unleaded beers back at the stadiums so it's all good now.

We will see. Seeing the Reserve Bank doesn’t reconvene until Feb. I’m tipping April before the election.

Still reckon bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme? How did the relentless references of pure ignorance back in the day go for you?

Hey you wont get a disagreement with me about Housing & rent prices..

The demand is so high atm its ballooned so far out of control i have no idea how they are going to get it reigned back to a reasonable level.

Btw calling me a Leftie you obviously haven't followed me closely on here i can't stand them.

I have hammered Labor/left wing politicians on here for ages.

I just give praise where's it due & Chris Minns is doing a better job for NSW then what the muppets did up there in QLD and the clowns that are in Victoria doing.

I always vote on gut feel and judge everyone on there merits.

I think overall Minns has done a decent enough job that he is pretty safe at this stage to get a 2nd term pending any major stuff ups over the next 2 years and i have no problem with that.

Yes - he does tend to play to the populist things that sound good and are easy like beer at the footy, toll caps and locally made procurement - even if they might not make a positive impact

Mate, I've supported Labor, Coalition, One Nation, Shooters, Marijuana etc etc all in various combinations at different times depending on who appealed to me at the time. They're all arseholes fighting to get their noses in the Public Trough. The Leaders are usually surrounded by incompetent Yes men/women who eventually stab them in the back, usually behind the scenes.

So, do I need to add 'pisspot alcoholic' to 'left wing, pinko, tree hugger'?
