Of course they do - that's why people migrate to "better" countries, never forgetting family they have to leave behind - ageing parents, even wives and kids - in the "worse" countries.
Maybe we should look at reducing our carbon emissions and footprint here, instead of looking for excuses elsewhere not to - just a thought...And also our carbon footprint living in Australia scores a 7.6
Thats very high. And if compared to sub continent where they sit around 1.3
In other words if bring 200,000 people from sub continent then damage to environment is similar to 1.2million increase.

The thing simpletons like Hanson, Taylor and their followers don't get (or admit) is that under capitalism our Australian economy must "keep growing" - and to do that we need the population to keep growing, at a higher rate than people here are willing to pump out babies in these modern days.
Trouble is that we (Australia) doesn't (and can't) really influence the rest of the world's population rates. It's just an excuse not to take action about things we can influence to reduce carbon footprint. You want to reduce carbon footprints? Then we must reduce the worlds population not increase it.
Agree with you there, population growth is a fundamental ingredient for the capialist system and our economy.Increasing it is just a pyramid scheme to fuel capitalism and keep the rich getting richer whilst destroying the planet.
It's about the people migrating getting a better life, and the country they move to also benefiting from the growth. People migrate to "better" countries, and it's understand they want to share those benefits (which they aren't used to, so don't selfishly "need" all of) with family who remain in the "Not as good" countries.Immigration isn't really about giving people a better life.
GoodEveryone understands that's how to keep the government making money..
What do you actually mean there, other than a simplistic slogan? But dopes forget they we dont have governments that know how to allow for a bigger population.
Maybe we should look at reducing our carbon emissions and footprint here, instead of looking for excuses elsewhere not to - just a thought...
Keep searching then... if you want to or think you can disprove what was presented.2023 can't find anything from 25-26?
That some people are simplistically anti-immigration? Yeah...You understand the point yeh?
That some people are simplistically anti-immigration? Yeah...
Um... I'm not anti-immigration though.

Good

What specifics should a government know about operating in these capitalist economies where (everyone understands) population growth keeps government making money.
they need to spend more of their money on deodorant.
Again, the question was what specifically do you think this government that doesn't "know how to allow for a bigger population" should be doing. Not good when governments dont have a clue how to spend it dopey...
I know, but you dodged the simple question... You can see why I don't think you have anything beyond simplistic PHON / LNP sloganeering.Talk about simplictic... It's not all about money and housing
