MITS said something in 2010 that was interesting (it may have been in 2011).

He said that once the players bought into his style and plans, that was when the run happened. So he could be a great tactician and by the way he talks in interviews and the like, it would appear that way.

It seems his interaction with players is the thing in question. I believe that is what Sharpie was actually bought in for and I believe DA wasn't all that impressed with that either.......

Anyways, all irrelevant as he isn't here.

Pou Pou, why doesn't his record speak for itself? If he is finished coaching as you claim, then why can't his 10 year span across the NRL/ESL be the judging factor? Or should his last game be his only record we look at?

Did Gibson win his last game as coach? If not, according to Pou Pou he would be classed a bad coach........

Mate, either you missed my point or I've just missed yours.

I think Anderson definitely can be judged on his win-loss record, because it spans a long enough period of time, at a number of clubs, to give a good gauge of his ability.

Basically, the law of large numbers comes into play.

You can't just judge a coach on their win loss ratio as it doesn't factor injuries to key players. Bigger picture on Anderson from his overall end of season finishes suggest he knows a thing or two.

Hopefully during his time at parra sk can be the same.

At how many different clubs?

I didn't rate Wayne Bennett until he went to St George.

Wait, what?? :? This comment is either the biggest and most sarcastic piss-take in history.....or this really just sums up your knowledge, or lack there of, regarding Rugby League....?! You cannot be serious with this?? If you are though, I now truly get it, I now get you, its all becoming clear finally. It must be an interesting world inside that head of yours. Wow....

After reading through this thread, I had been about to post something along the lines of Poo Poo must be one of SK's late-night booty calls - judging by how he sucks his sack so much, in a blind-faith, SK can do no wrong type way - but after seeing that comment above, i'm was too stunned to post that....

It's a gee up Tru Eel.

Well, shit I hope so ME.....but see you never know with Poo Poo?!

If it was indeed a gee-up, he'll wait for all the bites to arrive and then come back all smug and high and mighty and self-satisfied claiming that people took his bait and stating what a comedic genius he is....but if it wasn't and he was indeed serious, he'll then claim that it was just a gee-up just to try and cover his own stupidity, so who really knows

I kind of agree. with those broncos teams in the 90's i think he should have won more. that was full of australian reps

Spot on. Even that St George squad had f**k-all weaknesses.

Look how he's going with a Knights squad that is full of holes. That said, he can definitely get the best out of a strong squad.

It is an interesting point, though. One could argue that Bellamy's success hinders on Smith, Slater & Cronk being in the team. Take them out (particularly Smith) & their record is anything but impressive. Having said that, Bellamy did bring them into the side before they were the stars they are today. One could argue the same point about Bennett and Lockyer.

Back to the topic on hand - Daniel Anderson. He took a team, that most of us on here at the time believed would be lucky to avoid the wooden spoon, to the GF. That alone speaks volumes about his ability to coach. Then, throw in the suggestion (no one knows whether or not it is fact) that he was not wanted by the new administration - & that they were not going out of their way to help him - & that further suggests the bloke really knew what he was doing.

Kearney, on the other hand, has had everything handed to him on a silver platter by the club and, 18 months later, we are still waiting for some consistent results.
