I think our club bent over backwards to secure SK cos they believed he'd simply be awesome cos he's been involved with the Storm

Different boards

Under Fitzy regime, eels have never sacked a coach, DA wouldnt have gotten sacked, would have had extra time to implement what he wanted to do long term, and most likely would have got the contract extension he was after. We harp on it takes time to rebuild a club, but DA essentially never got this time, but we shoudl happily watch the team be wooden spooners and give Kearney all the time he needs

When the new board too over he was DMW. First sign we couldnt or we would go close to missing the top 8, wooska down to melbourne to hire a rookie coach and give him total free reign FMD !!!!


Stephen Kearney (no doubt getting a whisper in his ear from Bellamy and Bennett), asked for total control, seeing what this new board did with DA. Good luck to him, He has been given eveything to get the side doing well. We are still waiting...
