Massive effort from Maddi Wesche in the shotput, and one of the all-time massive TV director/cameraman f**k ups to not actually a) get a proper view at her last put b) not even see where the f**king thing landed. The commentators thought hers was a winning throw at the last attempt, as did I, then the next thing we see is the distance that says it isn't.

Good on her though, she came up clutch but just short.

Yup, one of the commentators on the stream I was watching (not Sky) started talking about how it looked over 20m, then promptly stopped that train of thought.

Will give them the benefit of the doubt that it stopped short of the line, but damn she did well regardless.

Carrying on Big Vals legacy with medals on the shotput 💪

Also Lydia Ko heading into last round of the golf tonight first equal, hoping to complete the set after getting Bronze and Silver in previous Olympics 🙏

Was watching a bit of it last night, she's looking pretty slick, will try stay up for it tonight, sleep be damned!

Not really a fan of putting a microphone in front of Fishers face straight after that final, she handled herself extremely well but doesn’t need to be in that position

TRIPLE gold overnight and this morning with Carrington, Lydia Ko and Hamish Kerr!!!

Turning into a great games for NZ.
Absolutely, don't think it's much of an argument to say it's our best ever. Wasn't so sure it would be 48 hours or so ago!!!

Maybe still one to come from Ellesse Andrews.

Ahead of Canada, who have 38 million people, and probably access to much better competition in all sports, being in North America.

Yikes, I hadn't seen it before. That was gutsy on her behalf but nah, I didn't like that. Not necessary, as far as I'm concerned. These are humans, not robots for our amusement.

On Lydia's Ko's feat. She beat all the top golfers above her (Currently ranked 22nd) and as others have mentioned first to win all colour medals in the Olympics. Very proud of all the Kiwis efforts in what is our most successful Olympics.

I hate watching golf but all of a sudden Ko lures me in watching the past 4 days of Womens golf. I would of called anyone a liar if they said I would be watching golf at the Olympics thinking about it now lol

As the commentators mentioned, the win gave her the last point she needed to gain entry to the LPGA Hall of Fame, and she is the youngest to achieve this at 27 years of age.

Hall of fame is fitting. In the zone the whole 4 rounds, though in the last round there was a little hiccup, but she never folded and responded stronger by playing the correct shots & clubs to get the perfect positioning. Shame on me for not watching more of Lydia's career.

WTG Lydia.
