OT - OTHER GAMES 2022

Yes. I think Burton is that good but is being asked to play a role he is not equipped for at this point in his career. Barrett has systematically destroyed all the 7s in the squad leaving Burton to think he has do everything.

Flanju is going ok and he and Burton could get that team going ok, if they got a decent coach.

Josh Jackson as a ball playing lock kills a lot of their attack with poor passing.
I would move Burton to fullback, Dufty doesn't offer enough, let him roam from there.
But dosent help Barrett is the coach

I agree he is "that" good as well. But you take a superstar out of a superstar team and transplant them into a rebuilding team with a coach of no real note and they will overplay and will never look as good.

Young Pissflap is doing OK but is no way better than Burton. If he was, Burton would be looking better. PJs biggest problem is he is Chadlike or Brookslike (as a half). Doesn't drill into the line deep and with purpose and plays well before the line too much. Doesn't give anyone outside any room.

He only signed a 2year deal I think? So back on the market very soon, can’t see him staying unless it’s on massive overs

Well, you know R-15, the game is a changeable beast. If the 'Dogs stay all in for Herman, and land him, Burton would stay I reckon.

They go all in on Munster they can’t afford to keep Burton

Maybe, but I don't know that. They obviously think they can although they don't have much going off contract that will free up cash

Another reason why Burton probably takes up his 2024 player option is that the Dogs have 2 players coming already that solve 2 of Burton's problems. A good dummy half and a good left edge second rower. Kikau and Mahoney.

Dogs are actually building nicely actually

Interesting move by the Titans. They must have been looking at Talakai

Fifita to the centres.

Don't see how he is getting more ball there though

Burton looked at his best at Penrith when playing centre, getting the ball earlier with time and space to run. He’s got silky skills and that killer boot, but at Penrith, they were his 2nd and 3rd jobs, after running first. At the Dogs, he’s not getting the time or freedom to run first as he’s having to be the main playmaker. They need someone else at first receiver, let him get the ball in a bit of space with a ‘run first’ mentality.

Not working as well right now for them.

The other millionaire for the Cows is starting to look like Andrew Fifita.

Most other games, other clubs are pulling in ok crowds, yet the Shonks haven’t surpassed 12000 yet, they’ve hit the golden figure of less than 10000 a few times, this is pretty bad, who or what is going to pay for the new complex?
are they going to ship in poker machine players from other suburbs/ areas? Will they kidnap gamblers as they walk into Star City?
you should be worried

But seriously, who’s going to pay for the development?
I raised a pertinent point & only got abused, it’s a fact that the sharks haven’t attracted a crowd of 12000 yet & two crowds under 10K that’s horrible, that’s indisputable
So who pays for the renovations?
