Think that send off was a bit ruff.
In the modern game I think we are past playing a large portion of a game with 12 players.
A send off should only be for deliberate plays like elbows, eye gauging, king hits etc etc
Everything else can be playing with 12 players for 10 min then be replaced by someone else and the offender is done for the day.

Really R-15? Alex McKinnon had his neck broken in one of those style tackles. Lawton had to be a sent off.

I do think the dismissed player should be replaced with a bench player though. Still the penalty of playing short but not on field.

Nope was definitely an send off in my book. Lifted him well past the horizontal line, lucky it didn’t end as badly as it has in the past. We can’t have tackles like that still part of the game, it’s far too dangerous.

Not making light of such a serious matter in this day and age, but if old Poppa Clay was still playing he'd have been banned for four lifetimes already.

More along the idea of send offs, was a bad tackle but no intent in it, yes he should be punished but I don’t think teams and fans should be punished for an accident with no intent.

BUT… Does that mean that NAS and JWH get penalised EVERY SINGLE TIME they carry the ball!

Let’s be consistent, and not just penalise the bottom 8 teams!!!!
