Inferno is right, the Titans are garbage.
What an absolutely soulless club. They've had 15 years of being able to develop talent from a massive pool covering south-east Qld and northern NSW and yet all they have are discards from other clubs and overpaid prima-donnas. There's little more than a handful of local talent in their squad (most of who wouldn't get a run elsewhere).
Honestly, WTF have they been doing? "Culture and Performance"? Please...
They have to be up there with biggest disappointments for the NRL since their inception.
They've been in the comp 15 years in Rugby League heartland and the fastest growing city in Australia. They've got a relatively brand new stadium.
They've made the finals four times, and two of those times they finished 8th.
They've also won two wooden spoons and were placed in voluntary administration.
Despite an enormous junior base their usual MO is buying overpriced has beens who fail to live up to the hype. Hard to think of many players who went to the Titans and played their best footy there.
They get crowds barely above that of most Sydney teams despite being the only team in town that is approaching 750,000 people.
I was also there on day 1 when Presto scored a try with his ass.
