I still have concerns over the halfback
Big concerns. The player that Frenz mentioned, Hannaway, definitely has a more natural looking kicking style with better placement. She was a 5/8 at rugby I think, if so, the generally similar position in League is half back.
Tonegato does have a few defensive issues but is still pretty electric in attack, way better worth than Preston at half.

I do like jada Taylor when she can stay on the paddock at fullback but tonegato looks a lot more comfortable there with the broken field running and less structure like 7s rugby

Carn the Chadley lead Cows, rip in and smash the Doggies around.

Chad your mission if you accept it is to undertake the following.

Targets are, for starters Crichton, Kikau, Mahoney, and Burton.
Render unavailable the above mentioned for a period of a week or more.

"You can do it"

Ideally who do we want to win this dogs cows game?

Watch be good to have cowboys after a loss that makes the 8 harder for them. Or is it better that the dogs lose?

A positive today for Nicho, he would have seen how you come back from injury guns blazing, in how Cleary stood up.
What till Nicho comes back and we could be playing Panthers first week of finals that's the clash Nicho would want vs Cleary beat him, and do it late in game when pressure is on

I've actually watched this game between Storm and Eels. I've picked up a glaring difference in the plays going on between the two.
Have a watch of the play the balls.
The Storm play it like touch football, not even an attempt to touch it with the foot, Papy the worst of them all.
It is constant roll.
Then look at Parra, they are still on the whole playing it with a foot touching.
It's truly alarming how much more time the Storm get from the roll on.
And it's 100% al the Storm players are doing it.

They’ve always found ways to get an illegal edge…

Yep this has come roaring back in and has been for weeks now. There are teams like the Storm that identify the refs are no longer pinging sides for it, so they all are coached to gain the half second advantage. Then there are most teams where a few will comply and others not.
It’s all the refs fault. Storm are simply the best at testing the rules and coaching for an advantage

@Ozzi_78 is right, all teams do it, but the Storm seem next level.
It's not just that they don't play it properly, it's the force at which they roll the ball.
It's borderline passing it back to Harry. Particularly Paps, as you pointed out.

That extra split second of getting the ball clear of the ruck can make quite a difference in how much the defensive line can move up. Do that every tackle for a full set and you have maybe an extra 5 metres or so of advantage.
Do it for 80 minutes and it adds up.

This is another thing that pisses me off with the modern game and officiating - there was a crackdown on this not so long ago (the start of last year maybe).
As usual it gets penalised for a couple of weeks, then the usual suspects start bleating on about "too many penalties" and "ruining the game" and the refs cave.
Next thing it's forgotten.

I'm ok for crackdowns.
But for the love of God, weather the storm when it comes to moaning.
Pretty soon they'll stop doing it.
Then it's been addressed and we can move to the next issue.
But don't forget this one in the meantime.
As soon as it creeps back in, penalise it.

The clubs will soon learn.
