It was.
There were several hundred empty seats on the south Terrace, where the memberships went unsold.
19126 ended up not being a sellout.

I'd rather have the 46000 that would prefer to go to a bigger stadium.

Suity
when we have empty seats you still class it as a sellout.

Unless you know how many memberships were sold throughout the week it is to hard to judge the success.
When our games are moved there are always 2 for 1 or half price deals that go with it, which artificially inflate the numbers as well as SA members who turn up to watch.

It's more about increasing the turnout at the not so popular games not the blockbusters.

I think what Suity is trying to say is that the 2 scenarios are very different.

In our scenario, we sold season tickets and then made every other ticket available for every game the rest of the year.
The wanderers have decided they want X number of STHs, which they haven't got. So they reserve those tickets and sold the rest. Only way to watch the game now is to get a season ticket!

interesting to see that they are selling the ad spaces at the ends as a shared resource,

wonder if it affects our take?

felt like mentioning on their facebook site comments how the companies should be aware that they are unpopular with the fans who get blocked from seeing the screen

Interesting, the last deal I remember was that Parramatta NRL managed the sales of all advertising hordings at the stadium

The Stadium Trust has always run the place independently of the NRL club, we did have numberrs on the board , but it was put in the hands of the govt by the previous govt, and it continues that way.

The idea is tro get cheaper rental , to compete with Olympic Park , I believe

It's only hard to understand because they are 2nd on the table - if they were Eels fans for the last couple of years on the other hand?
