Still in the back straight ..... 11 months out and the jockeys are putting their previous two years experiences to work.

Some are steady and getting stronger by the stride and some are faltering.

And some ........... well ............

History

For those that don't know about Australian history, here is a condensed version:

Australians originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters and gatherers.
They lived on kangaroos on the plains during the summer and would then go to the coast and live on fish and mussels in the winter.
The two most important events in all Aussie history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel.
The wheel was invented to get man to the beer.

These were the foundation of modern Aussie civilisation and together were the catalyst for the splitting of Australians into two distinct sub-groups:
1. Liberals, and
2. Labor.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture.
Neither the glass bottle nor aluminium can were invented so while our early Aussies were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night, while they were drinking beer.
This was the beginning of what is known as the Liberal movement

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting, learned to live off the Liberals by showing up for the nightly BBQ's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing.
This was the beginning of the Labor movement
Some of these labor men eventually evolved into women. They became known as twinkies.

Some noteworthy Labor achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that the Liberals provided.
Modern Laborites and Union leaders drink imported beer and they like their beef well done.
Sushi, tofu and French food are standard Labor fare.

Another interesting, evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men.
Most social workers, government workers - state and federal, personal injury lawyers, journalists (especially at The Age), ABC staff, and group therapists are Laborites.

Liberals drink domestic beer, mostly Tooheys, Carlton or XXXX.
They eat red meat (rare), and still provide for their women.
Liberals are police officers, engineers, corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots, business owners, farmers, Doctors and Nurses and generally anyone who works productively.
Liberals who own companies, hire other Liberals who want to work for a living.

Laborites produce little or nothing.
They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production.
That is why most of the laborites created the business of trying to get more for nothing - and usually plead for government money to fund their unproductive, parasitical activities.

Here ends today's lesson in Australian history.

See Reef you got to understand elections are held on election day. It's like you're trying to say whoever is leading next tuesdays cup at the back straight WINS THE RACE.

Youse know it and Ize know it - the race finishes at the finish line.

No talk these days in Rupes Rags about a Landslide.

The "experts" were saying many months back that for the Gillard Government to be a chance to win the election it needs to be in the mid 30′s at the end of the year

That is where they are exactly right now with 11 months to go.

galaxy trend labor up plus 3

libs trend minus - 3

ITS THE TRENDS STUPID, ITS THE TRENDS

Some are getting stronger .... some are faltering badly.

IT'S THE TREND STUPID...... IT'S THE TREND..........

--------------------------------------------------------------------
The Galaxy poll shows the Coalition leading 53-47, a three-point gain to Labor since the last national poll conducted by Galaxy, which was conducted in the Labor dark age of mid-June.

The primary vote figures give Labor 35%, the Coalition down two to 47% (still well up on the other phone pollsters) and the Greens on 11% (down one).

A question on preferred Liberal leader gives Malcolm Turnbull an advantage over Tony Abbott of such order (60% to 29%) as cannot be easily dismissed, with Turnbull even leading 51-45 among Liberal voters. Julia Gillard also trails in competition with Kevin Rudd 49% to 34%, which is the narrowest result in a head-to-head poll between the two since March last year.

Most encouragingly for her, the improvement has been driven by Labor voters, among whom she leads 57% to 39%.

If the election was held today, Labor would 20 seats. That is the trend Quigs. It is constant. Its a democracy, as you point out. The independent seats would al become liberal. Thats 5 more.
What labor needs is for the coalition to all go on holidays on a super jumbo & for it to crash with all lives lost.
Then Labor has a very slight a hope of getting back in power.
The reason being is that the parasitic side of politics will alwyas be left voting. Their base vote will always be high because of the number of parasites in the community.
But what is important is that the swingers realise that labor are lying corrupt union cuties.
Pretty simple really quigs, even you know that.

Hey Honourable Reefy Son, did youse see this one...

Cool Hey, and they got a nifty graph to show it too.

---------------------------------------------

ALP best manager of money, history shows

----------------------------------------

WAYNE Swan is a tougher Treasurer than Peter Costello was in the final term of the Howard government, when the massive proceeds of the first mining boom were being passed on to voters as generous handouts.

If Labor were spending at the same rate as the Coalition was then, the budget would be heading for a deficit of more than $20 billion in 2012-13, rather than a surplus of $3.5bn.

New analysis of fiscal policy going back to the 1970s contains a shock for voters who generally rate the Coalition as the better economic manager.

In fact, Labor treasurers have been more frugal, with Paul Keating the only treasurer to cut government spending in real terms, when the economy was growing in the second half of the 1980s.

what is true, is the parasitic side of politics, spends surpluses.
The economic side creates surpluses.
If the intelligent side of politics didnt overspend catering to the parasites, they would never be in government, because unfortunately, there are more lefty voting parasites in the country, then right wing.
Thats just how it is. it doesnt make us happy. It didnt make Costello happy when Howard continued to give money to the "entitled" telephone sanitisers of the country.

Average annual real spend increase when economy is growing at more than 2% a year, but lower than 8% but must not include 7.5% & canot include leap years as it takes $6 billion per day to run our economy.
Grey haired prime ministers were given a handicap of .2% factoring in use of windmills & solar panel levies.

FMD you lefties grab hold onto anything. Out with the tinfoil hat quigs, the next UN climate report is going to shock the world.
SHOCK THE WORLD!!!!!!
