Luckily for some of us rusted on lefty tree hugging types (hey Reefy is that he right description) it's great to see that we are blessed in this country with an unbiased meejah.

Was it Gloria Jones who was found guilty again of breeching truth reporting by the media body. Third time. And Hadleys mob were pushing an electrical supply advisory mob where the punters ring in and get advice about who to sign up with. Seems like the advisory mob was only pushing ONE company. That company happend to sponsor 2GB or whoever Hadley and Jones are with. Gloria Jones did the voice over of the ad.

Twas interesting watching some of the Levison enquiry the other night when one of the rat reporters was giving evidence. Can't remember his name. But he said whilst working for Murdoch he could of written his articles before he even attended the event as the line of his reporting was already directed.

He went on to say how all the reporters followed like sheep because the media was run by a few and those that didn't toe the line were soon unemployed with little chance of getting a job on another rag because they were all owned by the same mob.

Sounds very familiar to me.

When does Tone NoNo and the NOalition have their Annual Conference. The one that is open to the Meejah, and can be viewed by the public.

The one where they might make a radical call, like maybe make a policy announcement. Hang on thats stretching it a bit. A Policy announcement.

Tell you Spide, you could of knocked me over with a feather when I heard how many Policy Announcements Tone NoNo's Shadow Ministers have made in the last few years.

Bloody interesting fact that. Might have to get the IPA facts man onto it.

See if you can raise him...

I have no idea what he needs to announce in terms of policy. He is on the record as having a mandate after he wins the elction. Reverse everything the treacherous pharks put in place. done & done.

Just saw this interesting fact in my friendly blog...

Very interesting point too. Perhaps Reefy might be able to confirm this for us but the initial report went like this......

------------------------------------------------------------------

And while I’m on the subject – total number of News Limited column inches on the fines against WHK Horwath over their costings of Coalition election promises: zero.

-----------------------------------------------

Now if that is really true, that is what you'd call balanced meejah. Hmmmmm Mr Murdochs back in town too.

I read the SMH quigs, as you will note reading back, gittens and co who so eloquently cover the current fiscal position - you remember, GDP being so short of forecast amongst the deficit blow-out

I do however post the odd DT story just for you for a prescribed response ;)

Did you see this one from the SMH -- Gittens I believe

Under Abbott the Libs are at their most populist, protectionist and anti-rationalist in decades. They've been working overtime to exploit and frustrate any attempt by Labor to implement unpopular reforms. The notion of Abbott in government is frightening...................

Where were they with their accusations of politicians being ''purely political'' when, almost from the first fiscal stimulus package, the Liberals began trying to inculcate their pre-Keynesian nonsense in the minds of an economically illiterate electorate?

I don't remember hearing from them. In fact, with the honourable exception of Saul Eslake, I can't remember ever hearing a business economist dare to criticise a Liberal government or opposition.

Under Abbott the Libs are at their most populist, protectionist and anti-rationalist in decades. They've been working overtime to exploit and frustrate any attempt by Labor to implement unpopular reforms. The notion of Abbott in government is frightening.

But do we hear a breath of criticism from the business lobbies or the business economists? Gosh no. The Libs might take offence.

But take a shot at a Labor government, especially one that's out of favour with big business and looks on the ropes? Sure, why not. How could the boss object to that?

Labor's problem is not that it's had bad economic policies - its response to the global financial crisis was almost too successful for its own good; its carbon price scheme was compromised more by the reneged-on deal with Malcolm Turnbull than by the subsequent deal with the Greens - but that it can't explain itself, can't educate the electorate.

haha - from your link (as you only chose to post selected parts)

But this episode doesn't just reveal the business economists' partisanship and their dereliction in helping to educate a gullible electorate. It reveals that, even after our experience with the global financial crisis, they don't understand the central role of psychology - confidence - in any government's efforts to manage the economy through the business cycle.

The present low levels of consumer and business confidence are a consequence of various factors, not just forebodings about the turmoil in Europe. Other factors would be fears about the devastating effects of the carbon tax and, after years of propagandising by the opposition and the Murdoch press, a lack of confidence in the government's ability to manage the economy.
nice conclusion
Gillard's promise to achieve a surplus in 2012-13 is just such an arbitrary line. That line could be washed away by a tidal wave from Europe, of course. But sensible economists think twice before urging governments to cast aside their self-imposed pre-commitment devices.
funny man gittens, not seemingly a fan of Keynesianism theory
