Very, very sad day for some people today, as one of their own dies a terrible death.

art-winds1-420x0.jpg

With the loss of this integral member of the eyesores known as windmills, a staggering amount of up to 6 people will be unable to run phone chargers this year.
Luckily, the other 5.649 windmills in the area will make up the shortfall for baseload power & keep their input to around 1% of baseload requirements of scotland.

Yeah those same six (6) people are suffering, they were still in shock after the terrible disaster that struck their Japanese friends in f**kishima. The 6 were grateful that they were not included in the three hundred thousand (300,000) people who are not permitted to return to their homes, farms and animals.

But luckily for them they were able to be soothed by the kind words our LU resident IPA Forumer Black Tip Reefy, that all was under control, and all of the reactors would be powered up and generating to full capacity within a week.

The 300,000 would like to thank Honour-a-bull Reefy Son for his wisdom and his knowledge.

Perhaps the 6 inflicted user could subscribe to the f**kishima Energy Corporation to have some of their power generation redirected to substitute for the down turn in power loss.

The 10 sheep and two cows that were in the vicinity of the damaged windmill have sought refuge in a neighbouring paddock. It is anticipated that they will be allowed to return to the affected paddock within 24 hours.

Meanwhile in northern Japan the 300,000 residents will be allowed to return to their houses in ????????

It is expected to take more than 30 years to decommission crippled reactors at the f**kushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Plant, and workers tasked with the difficult mission would have to venture into "uncharted territory" filled with hundreds of metric tons of highly radioactive nuclear fuel, experts say.

hahah nice lefty lies there again. You better stop associating yourself with such rubbish.
The reactors are off-line because they are being upgraded to be Tsunami Proof.

The Reactors are under control & have been for 6 months. The new cooling systems are in place & thousands of workers are building new covers & RESTORATION works.

The lessons learned here in Nuclear disaster control are immeasurable for the planet & an absolute boon for the planet & humans.

10,000 samples were taken last week in the entire prefecture & tested & they came up with less than 32 samples of air, fish, livestock & plants that had higher than natural or allowable levels of dangerous chemicals associated with radiation. Of those 32, none were considered damaging to health. This was independently verified by international organisations.

So in the end, we have had the worst natural disaster in history, (that if had have happened in a place like India or Sri lanka, would have killed Millions) Kill approx 20,000 japs & has left a million homeless & completely destroyed the oldest Nuke reactor in the country, yet not one death or illness associated with radiation poisoning.
Meanwhile, depression, anxiety, suicide & crime, all associated with the natural disaster carry on unabated claiming hundreds of lives every month, & nto a word from the ever so caring alarmists like yourself.
The facts, from the fact King
Not one death. Not one illness. Completely under control. Resoration process entering phase 2 & 6 months ahead of schedule. 10 more nuclear plants confirmed for the planet AFTER the natural disaster of japan. 1,000,000 Windmills still supplying less than 1 millionth of 1 percent of the worlds baseload power supply, while 1000 reactors supply over 50%.

You live in fantasy land.

All the contracts have been awarded to companies so decontamination can commence & people can move back home to f**kishima prefecture. Radiation will have to be lowered to natural levels. The cost is enormous & it would be far cheaper just to build a new town & destroy the one in the 5km radius, however for a country who knows that the only economical & capable option of supplying power to its 100 million people is Nuclear, it will be a profound statement & clearly a measure of how safe, containable & repairable the worst Nuclear accidents are.
It is why we will see a thousand more reactors built on the planet before I am dead. It is becaue there are responsible grown ups out there that know the difference between what is needed & attainable & what is idealogical & just plain idiotic. Windmills FFS!!!!!! (surely its a sick joke)
Meanwhile our country remains constrained by the bleeding heart idealogical useless left.

No Honour-a-bull Reefy Son, you've beaten me with all them IPA facts.

Where did you get them from. 10,000 samples were taken last week ???

Hmmmmmmm ......... 10 more plants confirmed Hmmmmmmmmm where ????? when ??????

Me just thinks you might be getting your info direct from the Japanese Energy Commission ......... or the IPA.

Did you know that the Japanese Energy Commission has had 27 Directors in the last three days.

60 reactors currenty being built. 20 being upgraded with new cores. 10 brand new ones
Try this link

LAst months samples My man on the ground has facebooked the last figures which should be released soon.

Also note that farming in the prefecture is now back under way with a few minor plant exceptions & obviously strict controls in place.
27 diretors? Wow. So what. Its a nightmare over there after the natural disaster. Would be a hard gig with idiot alrmists like Suzuki running around scaring people needlessly.

I reckon this is what greeny lefties cannot see. This is not an isolated event, but in fact a very common event. Turbines over speeding absolutely no control & they blow themselves apart internally & disintegrate in friction & flames. The fix is generally quite easy. Replace the fixed magnets bearings or the entire turbine. Prob cost a $300k to fix. But the energy it makes over the next 6 years will pay for that repair.
But what the lunatics dont understand is that this is Australia. We are a combustible land. Imagine the people on the North Shore or Meanai having these useless monstrosities in their bushland surrounds.
They would feel quite safe.

Today there are some 440 nuclear power reactors operating in 30 countries plus Taiwan, with a combined capacity of over 376 GWe. In 2010 these provided 2630 billion kWh, about 14% of the world's electricity.

f**kushima plant leaks radioactive water

Related Story: f**kushima fuel rods eating through solid concrete

The operator of Japan's f**kushima nuclear plant says at least 45 tonnes of highly radioactive water has leaked from the facility, possibly into the Pacific Ocean.

A statement by the operator TEPCO said workers noticed a leak in a purification device, with radioactive water escaping through a crack in a catchment wall.

The leaking water contained about 1 million times as much strontium as the maximum safe level.

Strontium is easily absorbed by living tissue and can cause cancer.
TEPCO says some of the 45 tonnes or more of contaminated water may have reached the Pacific Ocean.

Last week, TEPCO reported that molten fuel rods at the plant may have eaten two-thirds of the way through a concrete containment base.

The statement was based on a new simulation of the March meltdowns.
It said the latest calculations suggest the nuclear fuel inside the No. 1 reactor has melted entirely.

Simulations predict the molten fuel has eaten through 65 centimetres of concrete in a containment base below, stopping just 37 centimetres short of an outer steel casing.

It is also believed the molten core has eaten part of the way through the concrete bases of the No. 2 and 3 reactors.

The findings indicate the facility came much closer to a cataclysmic meltdown than previously thought.

hahaha . You ahve been conned again by the greedy Quigs. Buffet is a very smart man. He uses the likes of the left alrmists tactics to make incredible amounts of money. That he keeps & bathes in. Since the US & now recently the UK have abandoned subsidies on windfarms, buffet has moved all of his money out of windfarms & in to solar, where he will make shytloads through subsidies. He is a very good economic tactician & it is really embrassing for the left.
Remember quigs, you are nothing but a tool for the corporate greedies like our Qantas mate to make serious cash through scared poulations & politicians. You are doing a fine job for them.

Its called a greeny stitch up quigs. whilst always referring to green/commie/leftist/socialist websites , you will continually get found out & embarrassed. That is why you should stick to science sites & understand the technology & the facts.
There are in fact, 1010 nuclear reators on the planet . 440 CURRENTLY contribute 15% of the worlds power demands with over 60 currently offline being refurbished. So that is 380. If I had said 440, you would have Boogled & found that there are in fact 1010 to better assist your lost argument.
Add onto that 240 research reactors. 120 submarines & 140 ships. There are probably a few spaceships out there too, unaccounted for.
check you maffs
Now, due to go online before 2014 are another 60 reactors which will at least treble the nuclear outlook capacity.15% X 3 =45% (that is if coal & gas does not increase, but they will)
At the same time, windmills will disappear & turn into environmental useless eyesores like they are in California.
You see Quigs, once again , common sense is winning & idealogy is placed on the idiot shelf.
Within the next decade we will see, (thanks to labor finally getting out of the way)India coming out of 3rd world poverty & bringing on reactor after reactor to power their population. Same China. Then we have Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea all going nuclear rapidly.
The skys blue. & going to get bluer because idealogy & idiocy is being punted.

Millionaires Support Warren Buffett’s Tax on the Rich

Warren Buffett isn’t the only rich guy who wants to higher taxes on the rich.

A new survey from Spectrem Group found that 68% of millionaires (those with investments of $1 million or more) support raising taxes on those with $1 million or more in income. Fully 61% of those with net worths of $5 million or more support the tax on million-plus earners.

Buffett, as you might recall, has proposed raising taxes on million-plus earners, saying the ultra-rich pay lower rates than everyday workers.

Rich people’s opinions of Buffett remain fairly positive in the wake of his tax-me-more crusade.

More than a third of millionaires and ultra-high-net-worths said they have a more positive opinion of Buffett after his tax proposal. Only 19% of millionaires and 22% of the $5 million -plus group said they had a more negative opinion of him after the proposal
