So Quigs thinks there are only 300 companies in Australia?
Well however many there are 42% of them put prices up yesterday.
I would hazarx a guess that there is over 50,000 companies in Asutralia

Can you source me where I said there were only 300 companies in aus.?

Source for the figure of 42% would be handy too.

Good to see the Deputy Leader of the Fibs just confirm that she will be taking back the pensioners increase if and when they might win.

Persioners ... confirmed. .... tick

Can you source me the 20% Spide.?

ELECTRICITY generators have written to all senators warning that unless the carbon tax laws are amended consumers could face power price rises of 20 per cent in the first year rather than the 10 per cent increase on which the government has calculated its household compensation.

There's your link to the 20% captain, how about the 6% link now.

It's going to be a lefty blog isn't it.

So you are going on an article that was written 27 Oct 2011, some 8 months ago... cool.
See Spides Link...

Have you got the last NSW state treasury modelling or maybe

I'll produce this one http://www.businessspectator.com.au...-rise-181-per-cent-V8347?opendocument&src=rss

from late June 2012 showing a rise of 8% from Carbon Pricing, coming in under the Guvments.... prediction.

Yeah real lefty I believe it was LateLine with Emma. Or I believe it might of even been 7.30 report.

Had a state by state breakdown. Well worth a look up..... might be a lot more up to date then something from October 2011,

Anyhow I blame your good try / mistake on the Carbon Tax.

You asked for the link stating 20% - I produced it for you.

Once I did you want to pick at the date.

Quigs said:

From your link -

NSW electricity prices are set to rise by an average of 18 per cent, with the state's pricing regulator blaming half that figure on the carbon tax.
Now quigsy, your link says 18% - that's a lot closer to my 20% than your 6% don't you think?

Quigs said:

Can you point out where I blamed it entirely on the carbon tax - that's not my correlation a all.

The man gripe is that the govt implemented this knowing it would compound current issues arising.

Spoidarhhh, Spoidarhhh, Spoidarhhhh, you are starting to sound like a foot in the door current affair reporter. You produced as part of your claim an 8 month old article saying electricity was going up 20% BECAUSE OF THE CARBON TAX.

Spoider said:
It's good news for the low income earners - receive a 2.9% wage increase to off-set the 20% increase in electricity

If the cost of living could be capped at a comparative rate...

There's a bargain.

Now quigsy, your link says 18% - that's a lot closer to my 20% than your 6% don't you think?
Now Spoide...... you've gone and picked the extreme figure, the dog whistle total. How munch of that figure as quoted what ten days ago, not eight months ago, was attributed to the CARBON PRICING which was introduced yesterday. So I reckon if your figure of 9% is a lot closer to 6 to 8 then it is to 20%.

But we wont let some honest facts get in the way of a beat up...... even if it is an 8 month old beat up.

No need quigs, your building a strawman with that one.

You're trying to correlate the 20% I mentioned to be solely attributed to the carbon tax - I never said that a all

Here is my original post -

So, as your article substantiates, my original statement is pretty well on the mark wouldn't you say.

Your article being the most recent and all ;-)

you just conveniently forgot to mention that your "20%" was based on an 8 month old article

poor pharken turtles. We should abolish 20,000 jobs to keep the hard backed cuties safe. Then retired people can walk down to that beautful harbor & say " oh , look at that? That little hard backed cutie is a pharken turtle"

i find it hilarious that you greeny buffoons are having a crack at Tony Abbot for being an alarmist.
But then hypocrisy , standards & morals are something the left stick to.
its all about their backyard. their air. their street. their handouts.
why is it that leftys make laws that only the right have to contribute to?

Here is one of Quigs heroes
