I have jsut received word through the IPA of Quigs earlier work in life. hers a quick summary

1. Avid reader of Nostradamus & went door knocking warning everybody.

2.Heavens Gate cult(leftists) 1970's warned that the comet hales gopp would destroy the earth but the UFO that was following would help humans escape. 39 people had to commit suicide to create the gate to the ship. Quigs volunteered but was rejected because he had too much C02 in him.

3. After the comet passed & there was no end, quigs turned his attention to the Jupiter effect in late 70's. it was predicted that the alignment of our 2 planets would catastrophic climate change & storms & wipe out the planet in 1982. When that day came & passed, it was noted the only catasrophic change was the high tide was .02 mm higher. So quigs got out of his ark & went looking for a new crusade.

4. Quigs got tied up with union movement for a while at this point becoming the spokesperson for RSI , stress related workplace injury & compensation for doing your job movement. it wasnt until 1998 that the crusader saw another opportunity to rejoin the leftist hall of super heroes & save the world, one more time.

5. 1998 Y2K!!! The real end of the world. Planes will fall out of the sky. Nuclear reactors will spontaneously melt down etc etc. Quigs had already moved to a safe cave, so he was safe & there he would work for years on building miniature infrastructure projects to learn how he could help rebuild the planet after the calamity. ofcourse only using union labor & correctly ticketed work force with health & superannuation plans.

6. After y2k came & went, Quigs needed a new crusade on how to extract funds from......sorry ....on how to to save the world, when one day a a dread locked stinking tree hugger came to the cave & gave quigs a
poster of a move call the inconvenient truth. Thats all Quigs needed. he didnt need to see the movie he'd heard enough already & noticed the cave was getting hotter. A new crusade for quigs. The first thing quigs did was install solar panels on the cave whilst there was a 100% rebate(read: paid for by other people) onto the cave & installed pink batts on the walls of the cave also whilst there was a 100% rebate on offer. Now he had time & comfort to take to the interweb to become the the Australian high priest of wealth redistir......sorry, climate change & all things doomsday.

Not much success so far with no change in climate & quigs has considered jumping on different crusades liek the large hadron collider the Mayans 2012 prophecy & also a few highly secretive doomsday crusades about to hit the market.

Wow. we need expert advice on how to redistirbute weal......sorry......on how to save the planet, we know who to talk to!!!

Sure do. How does the carbon tax effect that? Seriously.

Well you see Ads, decades and decades ago they used to allow anyone or anything to be pumped into the Sydney waterways.

Most were unfit to swim in, some were toxic, and many were deprived of actual sea life.

Some more intelligent then us decided at that time and had the forsight to see that it just couldn't go on. And strict harsh guidelines were introduced.

Also harsh penalties for offenders.

It changed the habits of polluters and those that lived alongside the waterways. It changed the way people looked at their seaside lifestyle.

I don't know if you remember back to those days. I do.

Anyhow enjoy your swims and surf.

Next time you see a pic of the planet from space and you see that little white hazy film around the sphere. Just remember that is all we have, and that is all that keeps us alive.

I have always remember the comment of a lunar astronaut returning from the moon. He said that.....

Energy distributors make hay while the consumers whine
AS HOUSEHOLDS prepare for the latest round of steep rises in electricity bills, to be delivered over the next few months, the NSW government-owned power companies are earning record profits and are budgeting for more.

In papers tabled in the NSW Parliament earlier this year, the three power distributors - Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy - all reported record profits for the December half, which are expected to be mirrored in their full-year profits results.

Ausgrid, the largest of the three companies, earned a pretax profit of $610 million in the first half, easily topping its own forecast for $547.7 million.

As a result, it now expects to earn a pretax profit of $1.1 billion for the year to June, comfortably above its earlier forecast of $1.05 billion.

Quigs I'm all for changing habits. What happened back then was a direct impact on our waterways. Literally. We didn't need the whole world doing the same thing to have an impact.

The carbon tax and the whole idea that carbon is a pollutant is entirely different. Us basically going it alone will achieve nothing. We will not influence the big guys to join us. Not only is it pointless we decide to throw $23 per tonne and rising at it, killing our industries and rising costs for you and me and at the same time sending coal to china for them to use and pollute the earth with. Does that not cancel out anything we are trying to achieve?

He knows there is no climate change rubbish going on, but he uses that as a basis for his idealogy of wealth redistribution.
