But i have 16 - 18 months to enjoy revisiting our little bit of LU history. It is documented for all to see. Those predictions of yours, they were a hoot.
Yeah well even i was taken a back at the underhanded lies & evilness of lefties & how they conspired to form a minority government voted for by the minority of Australians.
Do some research on a country called chile , in particular . Allende.
In summary, Allende would have been one of your heroes. He was voted for by less than 20% of the Chilean population. The useless 20%. socialist, teh same as gillard & your heroes.
The right wing groups were a shambles but Chile was the most resource rich & developing nation in south America at the time of the elections, early 70's.
anyway, the useless socialists & another religous party at logger heads with the right wing parties, had a meeting the night of the election that was unable to produce a an outright elected governement.
so the religos & the usells socialsts decided they would form governent "for stability". In reality, we all know that the useless left are only useless until they see money & power.
The day after the election, Chileans awoke to find they had voted in a democratically elected communist government.
Anyway Allende assumed control of the nation & his first act was to break up the land owned by the rich & give it to the useless left wing voters. Taxes & royalties were burdened upon the multinationals that had set up South american operations out of chile.
The ironic thing is, the same useless cuties that you admire, unions, were the ones that brought about the end of the Allende, democratically elected, communist government.
the country came to a stand still because of the truck drivers union strikes. Multi nationals just abandoned the country. Peugot, chevrolet, chrysler, Volkswagen, Renault all had car manufacturing plants in Chile. The mining companies rounded up their employees & fled.
Step in the hero. Pinochet. His coup saved the country of Chile from total annihalation.
20 years it took for the country to recover under iron fisted control. Lots of commies were killed, but hey, serves themselves right for being commies. They should have grown up & had a decent crack.
its a very interesting story. Its even more interesting there & talking to the population who had to live in those times & walk along side for 3 years to numbats who voted left/socialst. then had to walk alongside each other for 20 years knowing that your hero was probably responsible for the deaths of members of your neighbours family. (Not really your neighbour, becuae they are living on what used to be your property).

I can wait 18 more months if this joke ofa government lasts that long, thats ok. Because we will never see a commie government in power in my lifetime again.
