He played NYC for Manly in 2011. He obviously didn't show enough in 2010 (as a midget second rower) to warrant retaining him.

The blokes graduating had to leave because we were payimg millions to reserve graders....

The priority for 2012 was first graders, which Daniel Tupou wasn't at the time. We had Burt and Sio already on the books plus we brought in centres Blair and Esi Tonga who could both play wing. The last thing we needed was another reserve grade winger in our top 25.

Ava Seumanufagai was no loss. Tupou didn't impress in the NYC and we had bigger holes in our roster than backup wingers to fill in 2012.

So they paid $220k for Matt Ryan but they got Manu Ma'u for $80k? It doesn't make sense mate. I'm sure blokes were overpaid (because we had to) but the numbers you were told and those reported in the media are total bullshit.

While I'm sure the Broncos have a lot of money to spend on assistant coaches, I'd say the sixteen head coaches in the NRL get paid more than them. Do you disagree?

Regarding this clean-out by Ricky, does anyone know how it compares to the average turnover of an NRL squad from year to year? And the average turnover of wooden spooners? From memory, half the team were told to piss off but only 6 or 7 guys actually left.
