At least the clique on this site is mostly broken. I remember when I first registered here you couldn't have a discussion about the game without a bunch of losers ganging up on the new guy.

There doesn't really seem to be one anymore other than a handful of old timers who are all mates. At least they're mostly friendly to newcomers.

It really is a shame what has transpired, but I really feel that it is mostly linked to bad results of the team. If you come on here after a win, the banter is normally quite good. After a loss, it's road kill.

I for one have no issue with any of the new guys. I think one of the keys with us older members, is that we actually met each other numerous times a few years ago. Maybe the answer is another get together after our final home game, as has happened previously.

If we're going poorly on the field and you've got forum members with differing opinions a lot of arguments are going to break. Isn't that the purpose of a discussion forum. If everyone agreed with each other all the time what's the point? Yeah some abuse is going to be thrown about every now and then. But most of the time it's just banter.

Some threads go off topic yes, but you can easily avoid them. The rumours thread was a joke to begin with because everyone was pulling rumours out of their a**e and believing everything they read on the other site so all of a sudden we were linked to a hundred different players. Best thing that happened to that thread was it going off topic.

I don't think starting a thread whingeing about the forum going down hill does anything to solve it. All it does is start another thread filled with gibberish and arguments and that's what Avanger is complaining about in the first place.

Iv been on this board for a few years now and I don't recall any "clique". I know that there are people here who socialise with each other outside of the forum.
