I think it went to shit around the election time, there was a great divide and it has never really recovered.

It did briefly recover during the dream run but soon as we started 2010 poorly the divide returned and has been the same ever since.......

I for one have met some great people through this forum. At every games I see at least a dozen people I have met from this forum, and it is really great to finally meet kindred spirits like us, in the flesh.

Things will improve over the summer during the offseason when we are all filled with optimism again. (hopefully no divisive upheaval like last offseason with the sacking of DA).

I think most of the regulars are still reading the forums, just choosing not to write, which is fine.

It really is a shame what has transpired, but I really feel that it is mostly linked to bad results of the team. If you come on here after a win, the banter is normally quite good. After a loss, it's road kill.

I for one have no issue with any of the new guys. I think one of the keys with us older members, is that we actually met each other numerous times a few years ago. Maybe the answer is another get together after our final home game, as has happened previously.

I love this site it is the best of them all. Always know when I come on there will be some decent reads and some good banter and discussions. The site will always be slow when our side is performing well, I am certain next year when we are top 4 bound the site usage will double.

Also I don't think because the regulars from a few years ago aren't on the site anymore doesn't make the site any less relevant - the site is like a NRL squad always revolving. Will be surprising who turns up when the eels are performing.
