I like Timmy. I really do. I hate his inconsistency, but I loved watching him through a three or four-man cut-out spiral pass or a deadly accurate grubber to the in-goal.

Unfortunately he suffered severely outside of football and he will never be the same player again imo.

Kris Keating, Daniel Mortimer and Tom Humble WILL lead this team to success imho. I know it - they're tough, they're skillful, they're passionate and they never say die. Jeff Robson, though less skillful, will also play a huge role in our success.

Great times ahead for Eels fans!

i agree with your first half of that post...
but comparing a guy who is yet to taste nrl in tom humble is a joke.

Tim Smith is a great half back and a good bloke, i wish him the best with the broncos....

We'll see...

And comparing Tim to Humble is no more or less of a joke than comparing him to Johns, Lewis, Sterling, etc.

Agree, I think even though we have limited experiance in our halves we have alot of option with KK, Mortimer, Robson and Humble plus Mitchell and MK in at hooker, plus they have good supports with guys like Mateo and Hayne in the team.

I love Timmy and hope him all the best but he no longer suits the style of footy we play and that is the sole reason I leave him out. With players like Hayne, Mateo, Inu and Tahu in the team the halves dont have to create as much, rather just kick well and distribute/support the other players. If we play the same style next year, we will be very difficult to defeat IMO
