I just read that Ilias is going to be dropped for Dean Hawkins. Lots of buzz around that. Maybe Souths will have the first coach sacked this year?

Judging by Arthurs excuses about being dudded, I think there is pressure on him from up high. I think Ciraldo, Demetrious and Arthurs are all possibles. If Easts don't go well this year, Robson might be in thin ice as well.

Robson has an off year or two between good/excellent stretches. There are some years where things don't quite go right or click and I think he deliberately either bloods new combinations or holds his team back a little knowing they are not a realistic chance that year so they can build/save themselves for a better run in the near future. If you think about it, it's a wise strategy in the medium/long term.

He will be fine and I think the Roosters are Top 8 certainties and are a very good chance for Top 4. They are a Premiership threat this year.

Dolphins squad played perfect Pantherball.

High completion with Katoa pinning them in the ten.

The backline are all metre eaters.

No surprise. Last season SOS spent a lot of time with the Coaching staff at games and undoubtably back at training and in the video rooms. You can tell that he is a student of the game. Bennett is not so proud as to not learn and adapt tactics and strategies from others.

SoS isn't first grade standard in his execution and was dropped.

At Penrith he'd put too many out on the full. Pantherball requires keeping the ball in play and any wayward kick ruins the gains by attrition.

Handy back up though.

My comment was not about him as an on field player, just that he's undoubtably had some input with the Dolphins coaching staff.

Souffs are imploding :D
Cooky dropped to the bench.
They spent the whole off-season training a certain way and after two games they rip apart their spine.
Fatboy is going to get JD fired.

Benching Cook might work out well for them. Bring him on after 20 minutes and he might do a bit of damage.

But the optics don't look too good. They are under serious pressure. I'm no fan of spine changes after 2 games. Even the Bulldogs haven't done that yet. The Roosters should bring out the best in Souths. They really need a win to keep things quiet.

Roosters need the win too actually. They will draw level with Souths if they lose and potentially fall behind them (25 is the total differential). Should be a cracking game.

Souffs are likely to ambush Roosters, paper over cracks and get done by the Dogs next week

Quite possibly yes.

No team really keeps losing. Unless you are Tigers or Dogs level. Its why I have to back the Warriors this week. And maybe even Newcastle even though I'm not keen on it.

I went Knights, surely they aren't bad enough to lose to a Wishart/Pezet halves

I still can't make up my mind.

I think Warriors and Sharks are specials. I've got them in a multi with Penrith. Turuva try scorer.

They genuinely do seem to have issues with the coaching.
Demetriou is like a bunch of other good assistant coaches who have this dream of being a head coach.

We've seen failures like Jason Taylor, David Furner, Trent Barrett and the strugglers still with a top gig in Adam O'Brien, Brad Arthur and Cameron Ciraldo come along and do nothing but poach players.

Some people just need to know what they can and can't do and the list I've just put up are some of the definitions of can't do.

Stay in your lane Demetriou, your an assistant at best.
