Storm letting the rabbits back into this is very un Melbourne like. Missed 40 tackles against a rabbits side playing like shit.
They had a man in the bin and 9% possession in the final 10 minutes of regular time. Still they were very clunky and for the most part Souths were worse. Storm once again guilty of trying to protect a lead by cheating.

That last 15 minutes was just comical all round. Storm using every dirty trick they could possibly pull to time waste, they deserved to lose just for that alone but then again Bunnies were a malignant cancer in 85% of their possessions.

The scrum penalty close to the line, does anyone think that may have been deliberate? With south’s needing more then 2 points(taking away the kick for goal) the result ends up being a tap against a defensive line that is set instead of a scrum and the chance to attack a reduced defensive line. There was no benefit for south’s in that, it really benefits the storm. Not sure what can be done about it but it’s something for the nrl to look at if it happens again and maybe something for our boys to use if they find themselves in that situation lol

100%

The Eels kept giving away penalties from scrums in the final against us last year.

100% deliberate. Smart tactics really.

NRL will find a way to slap a new rule on it.

Teams do it now.

The Luai no try in the Parra semi.

Moses was never on side knowing we can't take the shot.

Manly had one maybe 2 last week

It is the norm when teams are good from set starts

Well overdue.
Differential (scrum) penalties were brought in when scrum penalties were rampant. They're not really relevant in today's game.

And it's such a simple change:
a) Infringements relating to the formation/feeding/scrumming remain as differential penalties.
b) Infringements relating to breaking early (forwards or backs) are a full penalty (not 6 again), regardless of field position.
c) Foul play in scrums remain full penalties.

The HIA/trainer stuff is pretty poor form. We benefitted from it last year too but I hate how it gets exploited. It's a step closer to soccer.

The Dogs have been the worst at this for ages now. Last week was a joke. Baz knows how to coach one thing very well.

I was laughing nearly the entire time about how comically bad they both were. It put me a little more at ease about our prospects this year.

We do the basics well.

That sets you up well in 90% of games

I remember last season using it as to why we were so far in front of everyone. Only injuries will stop us again

The NRL have done a good job lifting the standard of the game.

The one exception has been jumping at shadows with HIA.

They won't penalise such things because it is too hard.

I thought a game couldn't be any worse than the Cowboys v Bulldogs game last week. I was wrong!

It doesn't help that I hate the Storm and loathe Souths. I was hoping for a draw before it started actually and that's how it should have been TBH. Neither deserved a win.
