Ciraldo could be here working in a happy hard working environment with very coachable players in a fairly pressure less position(compared to being head coach) but he took the dollars from the dogs, is it worth it? Yeah head coaching jobs are rare but he’s young and staying here would’ve kept improving his rep but he jumped off a historically good team early to go and struggle at the dogs, I wonder if he regrets it?

Long time between premierships.

We got there in the end, Gould was instrumental in our current success. Maybe judge him on the Bulldogs rebuild in two or three more seasons. Rather than let your usual hate get in the way.

There is no hate, Merely stating facts.

Gus had no say in them signing Cotric or Corey Allan which was the start of their issues.

Their board is able to be voted out every 2 years, As a result they are going for the quick fix.

They sign Gus to bring across what we have yet they pressure for instant results

I doubt it you have to jump at some point. He's probably put too much faith in Gus

Yeah it’s hard choice obviously he backed himself to improve the joint but in hindsight with how we are going this year another year or two here wouldn’t have hurt his job prospects at all. Anyway if things get really bad I’d happily take him back.

Need a clean out top to bottom.
They made strategic decisions to hire a coach with no coaching experience, to be their next first grade coach. A coach with nil experience in coaching, what could possibly go wrong?

They decided to build their COE in the middle of Sydney, not in the massive growth area of Campbeltown.

They hired a new recruitment manager without consulting with the coaching staff he will work with.

They made a decision to play games in Leichardt, an area without enough players to generate a meaningful junior league. An area with next to no population growth and a dominant child free demographic. To play in a stadium that is falling down. What do they think the people of Campbeltown make of these ludicrous decisions?

Anyway you look at it, their strategic decisions are terrible.

All decisions made by senior management.

Nah. If Ciraldo is shipping 60+ points next year he's gone. A few more of those this year and he might be in trouble.

You can talk about rosters, injuries, messed up salary caps and board level decisions but at the end of the day Ciraldo is there to prepare a group of men for the rigours of combat. If they're not quite good enough then so be it, but (like the Tigers yesterday) you don't get a scoreline like that against anyone in this comp without being completely disinterested in the contest. While that's not entirely on the head coach, that attitude is a very very bad sign and it appears to be getting worse. At the end of the day he has more influence than anyone on the character of the dressing room and it's clearly in a woeful state.

Go back a couple of years and Dean Pay at least got a pretty ordinary on paper squad fighting for each other. They generally came up short but they turned up and had to be beaten. Yes its a tough gig over there but thats a pretty reasonable benchmark and Ciraldo has fallen far short of it this season.

Three more seasons at the very least.

The Dogs woes require a serious rebuild which is gonna take time, if at all. There juniors are not the same catchment area as we enjoy.

They are stacked in juniors,

Remember they played us in NSW Cup last year

They won Harold Matts
Are running 2nd in Flegg
1st in NSW Cup

problem is they are bringing in dumb over priced recruits blocking the path of those guys.

Perfect example paid Broncos $500k to get Olopau, Who wants to be a 6.

They have a 6 in Burton
