Cleary had shoulder surgery in the off season. He started the year unfit and with zero pre season. I saw him training in the gym at Xmas and he was pulling rubber bands to try and strengthen his shoulder. He couldn’t even lift weights.

Anybody who has lifted weights will tell you, if you have four weeks off lifting you will lose muscle and strength. I am sure that contributed to him having other injuries like the hamstrings and groin. His body started the season weaker and in poorer condition than in 2024.

I think he is only just starting to look fit now. I am not sure he is in decline yet, but he certainly started the season knackered.
I also think the Vegas factor has to be factored in .A lot of sides start slow that go to Vegas we where one of them

I’d like to see Dyl finish his career a one club player. But also see the appeal of Blaize playing fullback.
He's our best ever but the way he plays isn't sustainable and Perth would pay him a ridiculous amount.
Also easier to find a 6 to partner Nathan than a fullback imo.
Not saying it has to happen but it should be looked at.

We have Dylan and two AUS schoolboys full backs behind him. Blaize isnt playing full back here after we put years into him as a 6.

I dont see the big appeal anyway, in attack he'd just play as a second receiver anyway, it wouldnt change much for him at all.

Not sure any club would be willing to top what we pay Edwards .Isn’t he on 900k.Perth are already rumoured to be willing to give Tito from the Gold Coast 1.5 million .That is a big hit to the salary cap even before you look at a half then a fullback

I Agree, Perth will want some Marquee names coming in their first few years, but an aging Dyl wont be one of them i doubt given who is off contract in the coming years.

Its Mal too as the coach, expect their 1,6,7,9 to be mostly Qlders too!

Perth will have to take who they can get. Edwards and Marto are the two that MAY benefit us to move on.

Dylan resigned a new four year extension until 2028 so I don’t see him going anywhere and I expect him to remain at the club certainly in the short term.

The two highly regarded juniors are still kids and have yet to progress to the seniors so time will tell whether they are the real deal. Jaxen Edgar has barely played this season which I assume is due to injury and Attard in recent times has been restricted in Flegg with both Nick Murphy and Jirah Liddiard selected at fullback in front of him.

Personally, I don’t think Dylan is going anywhere in the next season or two even if he gets an offer in excess of his current deal which is possible from Perth but no other club.

Dragons v bunnies
I slow game to be expected with both teams carrying a huge injury toll.Belinda sharpe on the touchie just missed a howler of a forward. Pass at least a meter forward leading to a bunnies try
I am all for females in the referees ranks but they should also be accountable when a miss was so bad as that forward pass

She is a diversity hire, plain and simple. There are probably referees who do A Grade who are better than her.

The Titans can beat the Warriors. Away game. They have points in them.

Eels? If Moses fires anything can happen. But the Roosters will need to be really off defensively. I think the Eels will need 4 tries to win it tonight.

While I would love 4th place not sure it would replace the pleasure of seeing 100 put on the eels

If the rest of the favourites win this weekend we drop to 7th.

Much prefer a 5th or 6th finish. Just to guarantee a final in Sydney.

I reckon Sharks will come 4th. They have the bye this weekend then Knights and the Tigers. No reason they don't win both of those.

Not gonna lie..if someone told me after Round 12 that we will probably finish 5th or 6th, I would have absolutely taken it..some perspective is needed here. Maybe 4th will be a poison chalice..probably facing a rampaging Raiders side..through the back door might be the ticket this year, especially if we can jag 5th or 6th..other results pending

They aren't going to hurt anyone in the top 8 but the Dolphins are quite a fun team to watch.

Would love to see them make the finals. NRL probably would like that too. Having two QLD teams, the Warriors and Melbourne has it all covered.

Manly doing us a solid, unless they completely shit the bed we are locked in for semis. Dont care where we finish tbh, rest whoever needs it and get ready for 4 games at full noise.
