This is fast becoming a case of we know who but don't want to say. Fair enough.

Well I'm not putting much stock in the 80 minute thing.
We would be chasing a front-rower to replace Packer, our back row stocks are great(Scott, Smith and Rochow who got Wayne's Coach's Award last year).
It has to be a front-rower and hence I don't get the 80 minute player comment, because 80 minute front-rowers don't exist(outside the odd monstrous Graham/S Burgess/Tolman effort...but certainly none of the props on that list).
Dam, I was convinced it was shillington
Jeez if we get that bloke it would be awesome. Would also be some karma on a certain club for what some of their leading players did to one of ours last year
Not everyone was on the same page JM. Different people were saying they were confident about two different players. Both would be awesome, though. So it probably won't be either...
Yeah, I was thinking of an 80 minute NSWelshman playing in a Queensland team. The 80 minute player comment is in referral to a player in that list who a few of us were confident it was. However, reading your breakdown, I missed one piece of information:
The mail is a high profile queenslander.
The player I and others thought it might be was a NSWelshman playing in Queensland, one who is capable of playing 80 minutes.
Since then, I've revised my thought process, and reckon I've got a damn good idea of who it is. Although I did say that before haha
Yeah I think it's now established that people had their wires crossed.
I think your source is wrong. There is a reason we are waiting for the new recruit. With Quinn's retirement we have basically got 500 k plus to throw at said player albeit back ended from next year. Packer was a serious talent. A real shame we have to find a replacement. My understanding is Packer was to be on Snowden type dollars. That alone stunned me.
