What we have going for us is Cowboys and Warriors at home. Both teams are dangerous but sketchy away from home. Melbourne is at home where we've been solid but we've managed to hit them in form. Manly could have the minor premiership wrapped up when we play them. Beat the Dragons and the pressure is probably off. Tough but with Moylan, Seg and Soward fit, we are a chance.

The betting companies think we're shot. We are $2.40 for this game and $2.30 at home against the Cows the following week. Geeze I think the latter is tempting as long as we don't lose any more troops.

To be honest, one more win and I'd be willing to call the season a success.
After last weeks great win, we still went to $19 to win the comp. Injuries I s'pose. They might surprise us though.

Update:

Bulldogs- away. We won
Dragons - away
Cowboys - home
Storm - home
Manly - away
Warriors - home

We need one more win to garentee a final berth.

I see us winning our next 2 games atleast. Last game we should also puts us just outside the 8. Those 4 points Sharks took off us would be very handy

OK so let's look at our competitions run home as well. I'll rule Manly out since we're not catching them.

Rabbits- Manly (H), Broncos (H), Cowboys (H), Dogs (away at ANZ), Roosters (A)
Roosters- Titans (H), Tigers (A), Warriors (A), Storm (H), Rabbits (H)
Melbourne- Knights (A), Sharks (H), Penrith (A), Roosters (A), Broncos (H)
Dogs- Broncos (A), Eels (away at ANZ), Tigers (H), Rabbits (home at ANZ), Titans (A)
Warriors- Sharks (H), Knights (A), Roosters (H), Titans (H), Panthers (A)
Cows- Tigers (H), Panthers (A), Rabbitohs (A), Sharks (H), Manly (H)

Everybody has a pretty tough run in. Given how inconsistent most teams have been this year I can see most teams dropping at least 1/2 games so 3 wins to Penrith could do it for top 4.

Its a real shame we copped these injuries. I don't think we're ready for a premiership yet but this year just feels like any team there or thereabouts who puts it together at the right time will win it. No reason that couldn't have been us.

Warriors don't have a tough run home at all. Dogs and Melbourne have the next easiest, but the Dogs are in shit form.

Perhaps he means just outside the four?

Yeah sorry that's what I meant.

As Maple said teams around us all should lose a couple. Souths & Roosters for & against prob sees us 5th. Given 2 interstate teams at 7 & 8. May actually give us a game at Home

It would be in Manly's,and for that matter, any other team that is in the top 4 interest to have Penrith in the four.

To have what they would perceive as a weakness in having the Panthers in the top 4,would be more beneficial for them.

But a Trojan Horse for us.

No matter what happens from here, i would call this season a success. Injuries may rob us of a major play in the semis.

We have a real chance of being a major player over the next few years. Ivan and Gus have benchmarked the way teams rebuild for many years to come.

Same. I still think we will make the semi's, but even if we dont win another game I would consider the season a success. Successful, but disappointing at the same time. The management team have done a fantastic job for the most part.

We should beat the Dragons this week. We still have the better spine and backs. Their forwards are nothing special either

Dragons spine beats us at the moment. Will Smith is a pretty big weakness in the spine. He has potential to be a quality player. But he's nowhere near the league of Widdop or Benji.

would like to see how dragons go if Widdop was unable to play, obviously I don't want him to get injured, but Id like to see the dragons rely on Benji & see how they go.

if we lose 1 more, we are fkd, surely the football gods cant be any worse to us, we've had a horror run of injuries in the last month. hope the NSW cup lads who get a chance to play FG take it with both hands and keep the team playing well this season.
