Whoosh, what's that going over our heads?
@Pomoz @tripster

Hahaha you muppets. When Hook has the runs on the board like bennett I’ll show more faith in him. The broncos do want to get rid of bennett anyway, that’s what a real big club does, strives to be the best. Last night does not mean anything about our form.
If you throw around the insults and lets be honest, you do, you should be able to accept having your leg pulled.

For the record, Bennett is so far in front of Hook he is in a different State, let alone post code. Last nights game just shows how teams can have bad games and it doesn't mean the sky has fallen in and Bennett can't coach all of a sudden. Sh*t happens.

How have I not accepted having my leg pulled? I don't really care if we insult each other or take the piss out of each other all day long its everyone else that seems to have a problem with that. That comment fits very much with how you post here of course we took it as serious.

Bennett is well ahead of hook as you say, and even he is under pressure. So it really doesn't make sense to bring him up as some sort of defence or argument in favour of keeping Griffin.

My only problem is with the double standards of some people. Others get offended at certain opinions and take offense but are more than willing to have a dig when it's someone they disagree with.

South's at halftime in the sheds looked like they had a killer instinct about them. They came out and were relentless. Gus should make our whole team watch that 2nd half.

Penrith need to show they have at least an ounce of that this weekend. Do they actually want to win a premiership?

We look like a team that is playing tentatively to avoid injuries.
Not going as hard in as they should , given our year can't blame them .
We might limp into the finals but go hard when we are there.

Souths performance was incredible.
Souths were very good but the earlier game in Newcastle had more bearing on the finals makeup. This was little more than an exhibition match. The loser will still make the top 4, after all, and when the finals start this result will be forgotten. The biggest thing to come out of it was the injury to Cameron Smith.

It’s not as simple as just flicking a switch and turning it on come finals time. The Sharks tried that a couple of seasons ago and failed miserably. We need to be doing it now, playing high energy games and blowing sides off the park. This weekend will indicate whether we have what it takes.

There is no reason we shouldn’t towel up the Raiders - their season is over and we have a top 4 spot to play for.

It is why I draw looks good. 3 bottom 8 teams. A bottom of the 8 team and then a Top 4 team...perfect to build up

Then again we have seen from the Dragons and Warriors games that we can also put in dominant performances on our day. The issue is consistency.

We only need it for 4 weeks at the end. That is why I agree with Maloney's comments after the Broncs game.

Unlike like our club they do not accept mediocrity.
Under the current head coach we have achieved a winning percentage of 58% and made the finals 3 years from 3 (100%). This compares with an historical win rate of 43% up to 2015, and 9 years from 49 making the finals (18%). Now if that seems like mediocrity to you, I can only suggest you look for a more successful team to support. Personally, I am thrilled that Penrith are now a regular fixture in the finals and would hope for it to continue which means keeping things as they are. I'd rather that than win a comp and slide quickly back to the cellar as happened both times before. People can always be brought in to fix whatever deficiencies the side might have.

I think the Broncos have got rocks in their head punting Bennett, as he has raised their winning percentage, which was already high, since he's been back. But he hasn't won them a premiership and that is what they want, hence they are chasing premiership winning coaches.

I get what he was saying, you’d rather not be at your peak form that far out from finals, but there is a lot of different levels between our peak form and what we served up against Brisbane. He was mostly just trying to put a positive spin on it because he has too, unlike the fans the players have to maintain a positive mindset, especially the leaders.

We have also never played good football that is capable of beating the best teams under Hook.
