Our run to the finals

Our draw from here is ridiculously soft and even playing like we are should win every game until the Storm and they may rest a few depending on a few things

We have the Warriors in NZ the week before we play the Storm. I don’t think they will be a soft opponent. That’s a 50/50 game for mine.

What a good idea. Lets replace an experienced NSW and Blues rep, 2 x GF winning half with a rookie. We couldn't possibly need his experience in the semis.

Umina, you have to get over the fact he run over your dog and give him a break.

At least give him a week off against Raiders. Don't train or play come back Monday ready to go. He looked like the walking dead out there this week after about 10 minutes. I've never seen anyone so shot so quickly with their fitness in a game.

He is playing hurt for sure. I think he should be admired for at least being willing to play busted. SOO is such a pain in the butt. It derailed us this year, Cleary has only just started to look like himself for 10 minutes if this game today. Otherwise h has looked fatigued, same as Maloney. The extra mileage on the clock for Maloney has really taken its toll on him.

You need to wake to the fact that we can no longer carry him defending the way he is. He is a deadset turnstile who has missed almost DOUBLE the amount of tackles of ANYONE else.

Real desperate times and we need to think outside the box if we must carry the soft merkin. I'd stick him smack bang in the middle between Yeo and JFH

This was the general consensus about Kikau as well. But then he ripped Manly a new one in the last 15.

Of all rugby league stats, missed tackles is the most meaningless.

You might be right but he is a liability right now. I suggested a week off no work at all but the club wouldn't dream of it.

Did you watch the game yesterday? Did Maloney’s misses look meaningless?

The whole team was not putting in yesterday imo.

We all know Jimmy has defensive issues. We bought him knowing that, and it is probably why Flanagan helped him out the door. BUT without him we are in 10th place along with the Raiders, and everyone is thinking about the sands of Kuta beach between their toes.

Two possible outcomes for the 1st week of the finals. If we end up at 5th place,we play the Warriors or Tigers in the first elimination final. We get 4th spot,we play the Storm twice in as many weeks which I think will be advantageous for us. The reward is that IF we do beat the Storm,we'll have a much needed week off to recover from niggling injuries.

Wherever we end up in the finals after the last round,it is truly a sporting miracle that we got there.

For us to make the Top 4 I reckon we need to win every game, and hope that the Bunnies lose their next 3 straight (Storm, Roosters, Broncos)

The rest of the Top 4 have fairly simple runs home, and pretty significant F/A differences (ranging from 39 to 106 ahead of us).

For what it's worth, I reckon we'll win 4/5 (dropping the Storm game), and play the Warriors at home first up. Barring an upset Wk 1 of the semis, that should put us on the opposite side to the Storm, and I'd give us a good chance of progressing to Wk 3 regardless of who we play.

I don't see Storm losing another game. So that will put them enough ahead to rest guys against us. 4th or 5th is the place to finish. Means weeks 2 and 3 of the finals are in Sydney.
