It seems now that, even if we somehow manage to beat the Storm, we finish 7th or 8th. 8th would seem most likely. It is a bit difficult to predict who we will play in the 1st week of the finals, but it is unlikely to be Brisbane. It seems most likely to be the Dragons or the Warriors. Fingers crossed that it is the Dragons.

Could also be Sharks. Winning next week might well mean we have to play outside Sydney. It's impossible to tell. Therefore, I would not play Maloney against the Storm unless results this round give us some likelihood of getting an advantage from winning that game.

With the coach and losing Moylan this is bang on where i thought we'd finish. Easily make the 8 and then be no threat once the semis start

There's a fair amount of irony in our season. After last year the focus was on a fast start to the year. Unfortunately, our predominantly young squad were unable to maintain the rage for the full year.

In hindsight, ideally we'd have started more slowly and gone about 5-6 from our first 11 games (a fair improvement on 2-9 from 2017). Then with some petrol in the tank, hopefully come home with a wet sail similar to 2016 & 2017. Even in the bottom half of the 8 but in form, teams might be nervous playing us.

Lack of mongrel in the forwards is the issue ,everything is coming from that. Won't work if overused but I want MG in the sheds before kickoff next week. Rip into the merkins
