I actually thought Tom Cruise was good in Knight and Day. I found him quite funny tbh.

Overrated is different to annoying. Alicia Silverstone is overrated. Fame is disproportionate to ability. DiCaprio might be annoying, but he can act and he has presence.

Lucy Liu is over rated too. Tom Hanks is a good actor, but I don't think he's as good as his awards and accolades would have you believe. I still remember him from Bachelor Party.

I know ey. SMH, one of the most versatile and gifted actors, he's a stand out in all his movies.

The reason he gets great roles is because he is one of the few actors capable of filling them.

He gets roles because he is a big enough name to fill them. There are plenty of actors that can fit roles it's not that hard. He's a good actor but his roles aren't those that only the top echelon can perform. In fact I highly doubt any producer or director looks at a role and says 'only the very finest actors can do this'. They might be a certain description that only a few actors could suit, but that's mainly on appearance and style not so-called ability and some very well received performances have been by actors that were not the first or second choice for the role.

In the series Band of Brothers (the greatest ever in my opinion) almost all of the main actors were chosen because of the resemblance to their historical counterpart, not on 'ability'. And it was brilliant, the actors were great even if they didn't have experience. None of the actors would be any worse than the big names in Hollywood, they don't get as much recognition simply because they don't have star power.

Wahlberg was awesome in The Departed - I have hated him in everything else I have ever seen him in haha.

Every single "actor" on Australian Soaps (Neighbours, Home and Away etc), although I don't know if anyone rates them in the first place.

Others -

Ashton Kucher
Katherine Heigl
Demi Moore
Jennifer Lopez
Vin Diesel (I like him, but he can't act)
Kristen Stewart
Megan Fox
Nic Cage (I like his characters and some of his movies, but he's kinda terrible)
Zac Effron
Steven Seagal (so bad)
Katie Holmes (cute in Dawsons creek, but that was it for her)
Alicia Silverstone

God, there are so many.

I didn't know any of these actors were rated that highly in the first place?

I agree with George Clooney being overrated.

Christian Bale though?? he's brilliant IMO

Hugh Jackman is overrated. He's not a bad actor just very forgettable.
Ben Affleck is shit, but i dont think hes that highly rated either.

Scarlett Johansson is overrated in her looks. Nice rack but the rest of her is nothing special...

Nicole Kidman is the worst. The Yanks can keep her. After all she was born there. And NZ can have her equally talentless husband back.

Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz belong on that list as well.

Agree with that. Great at what he does - but has completely limited himself to being the smug guy in recent times.

Hugh Jackman for me too. His charisma seems forced where I've seen him (although I'll admit I haven't seen too much with him).
