Well according to 360 it’s due to also it being not registered . And hoops made me mention it will blow up because warriors offered 800k and he signed for 650k

Guess that blows the play for broncos for less theory , maybe they should look at a few other deals . Or even better just get rid of the salary cap and let them all duke it out
It seems the thoroughbreds haven't disappeared, they have just gone underground.

Ah, the good old days. Love vit when history repeats... will the NRL grow a set this time????

It would appear they haven't changed their ways.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2009-07-06/former-broncos-director-testifies-at-nuttall/1343170

The corruption trial of former Queensland Government minister Gordon Nuttall has heard he was not the only person alleged to receive money from businessman Ken Talbot.

Nuttall, 56, has pleaded not guilty to more than 30 allegations of improperly receiving almost $360,000 from Mr Talbot and Harold Shand between 2002 and 2005.

Nuttall has previously maintained the money was a loan to help his children get into the property market.

The former director of the Brisbane Broncos, Don Nissen, has been cross-examined by Nuttall's lawyer about his own relationship with Talbot.

Mr Nissen told the District Court in Brisbane that he received two personal loans from Talbot so he could pay a tax bill and buy shares in a company associated with Mr Talbot.

Mr Nissen says there were no repayment terms for the first loan.

He also says Mr Talbot gave money to Broncos players and agreed to give $1 million to the disabled children of former Broncos coach Wayne Bennett over 10 years, with about half the money already paid.

Surely it can't get any worse for them this year. Surely.

If several other clubs can be stripped of points then so can the Broncos.

Which option;
Bulldogs 2002, strip all their points
Warriors 2006, start the competition on -4 points
Melbourne 2010, play for no points.

My option would be:

2020 - Donkeys win the spoon off the back of their own ineptitude, no points docked.
2021 - Start the competition on -4 points, Donkeys finish the 2021 season on 0 points (maybe they'll jag a couple of wins).

The goal here should be back-to-back wooden spoons.

Apparently this is all about to blow up big.

Seems Broncos tried to push Pangai out the door but forgot one of the deals they did to keep him wasn’t entirely above board.

Another salary cap rort being exposed by a disgruntled employee.
It's Moses using pangai to push his bullshit again.

The sooner this guy and his whole company are banned the better. The Bateman saga almost derailed the Raiders season.

I have no love for the Broncos but read between the lines here.

That the NRL was to inept to do something about Moses years ago?

Eels stripped of nines trophy and points .

If found true and they have cheated cap Broncos should start negative 8 next year and have cap restrictions to size of the difference to what they offered Fifita and what titans paid as they had to pay Fifita overs to get him over them when they should not be in position to offer contract

I'm no fan of the Broncos, but I would think plenty of elite players would knock back an extra $150k/year to stay at their home club. After tax its only $75k/year, which isn't that much when you're already loaded and your career could go in to serious decline moving to the like of NZ.

They may take the same approach as the last salary cap cheaters to be discovered (Sharks) and a minor slap on the wrist applied.

I think applying all 3 is fair, as they have been rorting the cap since 1988.
