You reap what you sow. A dickhead acting like this can never get away with it forever.
If he has been getting away with rubbish like this for a while, I don't know if anything could be done.

Best thing would be to ignore him. Sooner or later he'll get Boomerang Syndrome.

While all that has happened has really put a dampener on the start to the year, today has seen some progress which is great.

1. Sauce conducted himself impeccably at the media presser and if his attitude is similar to that of the rest of the playing group I am sure they will be able to move past this and deliver on the field.

2. It is so gratifying to see the narrative shifting from the players to the person who leaked these. I genuinely didn't believe they would be caught and while all is alleged with them at the moment, you would think that this should bring a halt to the releasing of videos, particularly if the person is punished or at the least publically outed like the players have been to understand how humiliating this can be.

3. Finally, while they would have definitely learned from their mistakes, hopefully the boys take some comfort in knowing most of the fans are empathising with them.

All of which I am sure will see us not fall away because of it.

I am sure privately Gus and co has blasted the whole playing group. Publicly things like naming the culprit shows the players the club has their back. That will Sauce's attitude will see it not bring them down

The NRL have created a monster here, by fining Napa we’re going to see a whole lot more of these videos leaked. Anyone with a grudge can inflict a monetary hit.

Would’ve been better to create a new rule, any videos filmed from this point on.

Which they have. Videos filmed before last week's announcement will be judged on whatever the NRL sees fit.

By fining Napa though they sent a message they’d be open to doing that again, better to just say we won’t fine people over old videos, only new. (Except obviously if something illegal happens in them)

God forbid there be people who don't crucify a player for being the victim of a sex tape being leaked.

I mean, sure... May didn't break any laws... but he doesnt deserve to be defended because the sex was a bit kinky.

I don't know what you mean here. I've said they shouldn't be punished for consensual sex.

Why did he see the need to express his sympathy for the women, on here? How is it anything but antagonistic.

I don't see how trying to empathise with someone is antagonistic. IF they had no part in releasing the videos it'd be pretty terrible for them.

I get both points there but think you're mixing the two.

No one's innocence or guilt in this should be woven in with unsubstantiated hearsay from forumites. I'm not experienced with the moderation in the Pennies forum but suspect that comment might be goneskis.

This.

Remember when Jennifer Lawrence was applauded for her sexuality when her photos got leaked?
She's got a face full of jizz FFS.
I don't see the SAG condemning her and stripping her of salaries and movie opportunities.

Then there was the US Soccer team goalie doing a variety of things with her back door, "This act goes beyond the bounds of human decency" was said at the time at the image leaks.

WTF is so different here? Without knowing all the details (who recorded, who shared, consent, relationship between participants), why are the first thoughts "oh i hope SHES ok, hes a merkin, suspend/ban/strip $$$$$$$$"

I would hold this opinion Panthers player involved or not. I am still confused as to why the source of the video leaks re: Nappa have not been investigated.
This tells people who hold potentially embarrassing content of players that its OK to share anonymously because we only want to punish the player, regardless of how the content is acquired and the motives behind sharing.

The difference in this case (and Napa) is that these videos were being shared among group chats of players making the risk of them leaking a lot higher

JLaw etc had phones hacked for the photos and videos to be released. They didn't distribute them around a group of people and were always intended to be private.

These NRL videos were obviously not meant to be kept private because if they were they wouldn't have been sent to group chats

Two more Panthers players named in latest sex tape as club work with NRL Integrity Unit [Coleman & Phillips]

"The Panthers are in damage control after two more players were named in the latest lewd video circulating social media.

The Daily Telegraph’s Dean Ritchie told NRL Tonight that Tyrone Phillips and Liam Coleman were two of the players in the video.

“I can reveal two players involved in it are Tyrone Phillips and Liam Coleman,” Ritchie said.

“They were due to play ISP with a chance to play first grade this year.”

Coleman is already facing indecent assault charges from an incident in the off-season also involving Wests Tigers prop Zane Musgrove.

According to NRL.com, the Panthers have passed on the name of a player from a rival club to the Integrity Unit who they believe could be the source of the leaked videos. That player is reportedly set to be interviewed by the NRL on Tuesday.

Earlier on Monday in a statement, the Panthers club said the footage allegedly involves “Panthers players” and they are co-operating with the NRL’s Integrity Unit.

“Penrith Panthers is aware of a video allegedly involving Panthers players being circulated on social media,” the club said.

“The NRL Integrity Unit is also aware of the video and the club has been assisting with their inquiries.”

This follows a recent sex-tape leak involving 22-year-old utility Tyrone May.

May was exposed as one of the men involved in the footage on Saturday, and he’s seen calling a woman a “f...ing ratbag” and pushing the back of her head during a sex act.

There is no suggestion of any criminal wrongdoing.

Just hours before the Panthers sent out their press release, veteran Josh Mansour revealed the leak was being felt throughout the club.

“I’ve got nothing to worry about but obviously some people have videos out there that are private and are getting into the wrong hands, so I’d definitely be worried no doubt,” he said on Monday.

“The person that’s leaking the videos what’s his motive you know? It’s not the greatest form but again it’s the day and age we live in and it’s so sad to say, and I’m so scared to live in it and be a part of it.

“I’ve got a daughter of my own and I’m scared to see... what she has to go through. Like I said we just have to get through this tough period.”

I have a solid theory on who it is based on some research I have done this morning.

We will likely find out today who it is in any case.
