Napa was fined 5% of his salary so if the allegations are proven true and deemed a similar offence to that of Napa, whoever it is should be fined 5% too not $50,000.
Oh so its just a percentage? Thats atleast more sensible.

Wherethe hell do these tapes even get leaked anyway? Outside of articles in the media and the odd screencap becoming memes i haven't seen them at all.

Trouble is it’s not about consistency.

Todd will have a vein ready to explode out of his forehead.

Anything could happen

Sadly that is true. Even though it's been stated that the video was 9 months old. Behaviour that is beyond stupid. He will be stood down, (made an example of) fined et al might even get 12 months.

There are at least 2 videos already doing the rounds and its fair to say they will be frowned upon by the NRL, definitely not a good look for the game. If Napa got a $50,000 fine I reckon this player will be looking at at least 10 times that amount.

Just edited - 10% not 5% - but regardless you'd hope that, as long as this case is deemed to be at the same level, it will be the same percentage.

Greenberg said videos leaked from today would invite further punishments but personally I believe that means videos filmed from this date not leaked because I think the point he was getting at is that players are given the chance to learn from what has happened. The situation just reeks that the same day Greenberg makes that statement it is released. Coincidence much? Regardless, what continues to annoy me is that with alleged incidents like this (of course it's a different story if not consensual or if the alleged striking wasn't consensual either), Inglis got off so incredibly lightly for something that should have warranted a far greater punishment.

I agree. Sadly though I think the player (in question) will be made an example of. Is it time for there to be an amensty where players can acknowledge and bring in videos that they know exist. For a lesser punishment What do others think ?

I just think it would be grossly unfair for the alleged player to be made an example of (regardless of which club he is from). 100% players should know that while they are free to do whatever, filming is not smart, but Greenberg made a stand today and personally I believe it means that future incidents should be made an example of not ones made in the past where there would have been no knowledge of these new punishments.

Will there now be a load of 'old' videos comming out of the woodwork ?

My understanding is if the tape was made prior to March 1st 2019 then the Big Papi rule would apply. When its leaked is irrelevant. The exception should only be if there is anything unconsensual occurring in the video.
