Moylan won't be moved to 5/8 anytime soon. If we had plans for that in the near future it would have happened when either Soward was first injured or when Wallace joined him.

They might have scrapped those plans altogether. So a Moylan injury might give DWZ the run at fullback he needs to prove that Moylan should be moved to the halves.

Moving Moylan to 6 would not be a good move for his career. If he stays at 1 then he will play origin in the next couple of years. Penrith have a duty of care to ensure players have the best possible chance of playing footy at the highest level.

I'm expecting the following team to be named. Soward is a chance but not if he has re injured his back. Wallace I expect will be rested. Moylan in doubt, DWZ may shift to fullback.

1. Moylan (DWZ if ruled out)
2. Simmons (most likely G.Jennings though)
3. Whare
4. Blake
5. DWZ
6. Smith
7. John
8. Latimore
9. Segeyaro
10. Plum
11. Manu
12. Brown
13. Taylor

14. Peachey
15. RCG
16. McKendry
17. Yeo

Penrith don't have a duty of care to get players rep jumpers. Penriths responsibility is to get players to grand finals. With the NSW halves situation Moylan has as good a chance of making the Blues side as a five eighth as a full back and his skills seem just as well, if not better suited there.

It's been pretty clearly demonstrated that we aren't winning a premiership with a Wallace/John/Smith/Peachey/Cartwright halves combo. Moylan should be given the go if Soward is out for a long time. Christ I hope he's not.

I think Koroisau will play over Smith and Cartwright over Yeo but spot on.

Hmm doesn't sound good, Lara Pitt on the Matty Johns show said she spoke to Matty and he said he is fine so will be interesting to see if he makes it this weekend!

Gus would know over Lara. He can play with a broken finger if he can handle the pain so maybe both are correct. I'd name him and see how he goes

Hopefully his sore finger is responsible for the weak tackle attempts in CvC. I never really considered it before, but a broken finger while trying to make tackles would severely weaken your ability to tackle.

He was great otherwise in that match, but definitely didn't earn the fullback spot for NSW. Duges was horrible for Australia, but he was stupidly picked on the wing where has had no idea what to do. Tupou would have been a better option to mark the beast. Or any actual winger. Give him a bit of space through poor positioning and it's a try every time.

Tedesco also looked poorly positiined on the wing and struggled to contest kicks against other wingers. But ball in hand he was very strong and powerful.

Not sure why they insist on players out of position in rep games. They are likely to be beaten straight up by a guy who always plays in that position. There's only a few exceptions to this. Guys like Boyd, Hopoate etc. But they also started out in those positions.

Haha its shocking!

Anyway if we perform like we did against the sharks even without Sowie we are a chance. We gifted the sharks their tries so really that scoreline flattered them. Hold the ball and complete sets and defend well(minus the 2 DWZ mistakes) and we will give Brissy a run.

No Sowie and playing at suncorp is not good but we will see. One good thing out of last week is we held the scoreless in the 2nd half, we have had problems playing for the full 8- earlier this year so it was good to see.
