Don't get me wrong but I suspect this is a game where we are resigned to 'losing'.

I think the brains trust is thinking there is no point rushing guys back early in a game where we are long odds to win.

Do the best we can this week, hope for the best and bring the likes of Soward, Taylor and Co back where they are 100%.

I don't expect too many changes from the side that has been announced.

Maybe running and passing, but full contact? I know it hasn't always been accurate, but Spud's sicklist says none of Seg, Soward, Taylor or Whare will play, so we'll just have to see.

Spuds sicklist doesn't have BMM in it. So maybe it's a cautious list. Regardless I said a few weeks ago this is a game pre season I expected to lose. So not expecting too much

Late Mail. Seward and Taylor should return. Seg, whare, Wallace sit it out. Not too bad I guess happy they are two important players for direction, tackles and experience

Id drop Yeo but its tough he had best game this year against the Sharks. Bryce did aswell though and if he can continue that form he will be a massive asset this season.

If Sika didnt play so well id drop him maybe but he went well and is more physical than Yeo which we need.

Shame Seg isn't in. Would have like to get a look at Api paired with Soward. Api had his moments at 5/8 but I think could be pretty damn good with a more dominant half and one which can lead the kicking. Likewise having a strong defensive and running half would be useful for Sowie.

If Sowie does play i think Waqa will get a lot more quality ball, Soward and Idris had a nice combo on that side so hope they get it working again.

With Soward we also get decent 5th tackle options. Something we have struggled with since he has been gone.
Moylan to play as well.

Great to get a Friday night game.

Cleary really needs to remind young Bryce that he is a 2nd row forward, not a 5/8th.

He is a big lump of a kid with a good offload. Please let's not ruin his career by trying to manufacture him into a bigger and slower 5/8th than Wade Graham. That worked really well for us..................... Please learn from past mistakes.

By the same token we lost our chance at a gun in Austin by not giving him the chance he should have had, in retrospect, at half. I agree with you though, Carty has a nice passing game but his default should be run hard and offload.

Yeo is a defensive player though. Kinda team balance we need to play Cartwright for some variety

I think experience will see young Bryce be more selective with his offloads and will no doubt become physically bigger and stronger and become a superstar of the game. Quality coaching and experience is the key.

All signs are pointing towards Sowie and Taylor to make their come backs tonight. Moylan a certain starter. We are starting to take shape once again...
