The cowboys team looks very different, drinkwater dropped and no Holmes.
More than a whiff of desperatIon.
They have decent roster if they can get more than one of them playing good at a time.

The Cowboys biggest issue is their deplorable defence. They are far worse on the edges than the Sharks:

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow
Kyle Feldt
Connelly Lemuelu
Esan Marsters
Justin O'Neill

This might be the game where we get to see Whare setting up tries again. Maybe...

Robson at 9 is a bit dangerous, has scored a couple this year from dummy-half. Kikau will be an obvious target as he struggled with his red zone defence last week.

First game at home in a long time. Dry weather forecast. This should be a 13+ victory.

Kyle Feldt is a future immortal of our game and they are letting him down.

Their forwards are still very good as well.

I was exaggerating but he is a very good player being let down by a team playing poorly.

He is a good player but he’s been terrible this year. That tigers game he was absolutely dogging it. It looked like he was trying to let them score. He can still score, in particular off a kick but but he really has been bad when I’ve watched him.

Yeah they're having that kind of year. Looks like there's a series drop in attitude across the club this year.

Their left edge is definately worse than the right. But again it's poor defense which costs them. Their attack is fine even with key injuries to their spine. Their new fb has good hands and maybe even an improvement on Holmes in terms of his ball playing.

Ben Hampton was leading the try scorers list earlier this year. Problem was they were conceeding a billion tries a game.

They're a rabble but they'd have to be particularly bad to defend worse than the Sharks did. But I don't think it's beyond them.

They need Mclean and Asiata back, their defence crumbles from the inside out, but Feldt has been uniquely terrible.

Mclean must be running it backwards if he can't make the squad, looked a real good prospect.

Their strength is still there forward pack. With Dunn at 6, assuming Hampton won't move to 6 later in the week, you'd think they're looking to play a power game up the middle which is probably their best bet.

Masters is Nadenesque in defence which we should be able to capitalise on.

Cowboys fans dont have many good things to say about him, I think he is coming off an injury though.

McLean has supposed to be back from a calf problem every week for the last three but hasn't made it, Asiata, Drinkwater, Holmes all out. On top of Morgan.

Green does have some fair excuses.

Holmes is out because Green tried to rush him back early and made things worse.
