2024 season papaz will be back. By 2025 he would be fully fit. Origin player
Dragons are aiming for 2025
24 rebuild season
Papaz could come in on a reasonable budget ATM

They saying its a Sydney club he's been shopped too.. and tbh we are literally the only one without a gun fullback in the entire league.. but they'd have to chip in.. I would much rather someone tougher to throw big money at.. but if we got him for like 600k.. maybe.. depends how desperate the storm are... the positive is they would want him gone immediately.

Helps with our rebuild.. we arent going to get Manu or some such.. but im also happy with Tracey on low dollars.. but even as a winger maybe.. anyway whatever happens.. its getting interesting..

Note: I actually heard about this one over 3 weeks ago.. so even though things are being denied by all parties.. if he did get picked up (by whatever club), it might already be a done deal..

We're the only club that makes sense.. Dogs have Chrichton, Taaffe and um Peham, Roosters have Tedesco, Manu and Suaalil... Literally were like the only club with a bad enough roster to accommodate him.

However he's 1 injury from potentially being retired.. whether its concussions or leg injuries, so it could be a poisoned chalice.. that said we have money to burn so maybe we take a punt on him.. but at what price I dont know.

I’d be tipping it’s the Eels….
Brad Arthur wants an xfactor player & has stated Gutho to play in the centres to accomodate that.
Arthur also has old ties with Frank Ponissi & Bellamy having been an assistant coach at the Storm.
It won’t be the Dragons.

Isn't this the same issue with Ponga? i.e. 5/8 = more tackling big dudes.. and more risk of headknocks.. so even though im sure papa would kill it in a number of positions.. its probably too dangerous for his longjevity? He wont be afforded the same 'protected-species' status once he dons a red v jersey also.

They said on a podcast today that they measured he has 93% of his original speed after recovering from that major leg injury.. that was prior to the more recent one.. its still enough.. but speed is certainly critical to his success.. but surely at the minimum hes as useful as the fox.. he's quality.. even on the wing.. could use him somewhere... though fullback is ideal cause he is a lot safer than our current crop, and I assume he can organise a defensive line.

Love two-up but that's a guaranteed 50/50.
With his recent injuries, Pap's is a rocks or diamonds deal.
Like two-up, youv'e got to set limits or you're potentially screwed.
The price, and contract length, is critical to any potential deal!
