Nothing to do with the heat. Poor execution, stupid errors, ill-discipline and all round failure to be in the contest. Manly deserved to beat us by more.
To be honest, the score line flatters us.

In my opinion the heat played a part.
What part? The fact we played in the heat a week ago? Other teams did too.
No they didnt ... round 1 at ANZ was tigers home game .... do you even follow the tigers?
Mine aren’t. I’ve been right more times than wrong. We have been shit for so long that I can sense the symptoms very early.
Amazingly - we have scored more tries than the Tigers and they are 2 and 0.
We got belted by the Chooks last year and managed to put it behind us.If they play with no pride, no heart in Round Two, not exactly looking promising for the rest of the season.
Lol..the two points weren't worthy to fight for unless the game in hand favoured us? I know you're being a dick with your post, because if you're not you must be playing in the forwards with an outstanding HIA.We started badly and couldn't be bothered getting back in it because it was too hot.
A correlation!....and the scoreline.
Smartest thing that has been said in this entire thread and some much needed perspective.I hate talking myself up, unlike some.
But I have a good head for RL. Not as good as my head for cricket, mind you, but pretty good. I can see some of your frustrations but I genuinely believe you are missing the big picture.
I've said for three years hooker is our biggest issue. King is a good player, I like the guy, but he's best off the bench. The thing with that is that no one better has been available. BA, though, can see it. He even out out feelers to Mitch fking Rein, who I think is a rubbish hooker but was stellar last season in NSW Cup. He wasn't gonna pay the merkin his ridiculous asking price, though. He also baulked at Peats' asking price, something I respect but disagree with.
He has also signed Kane Evans, who is a monster prop with a point to prove. He hasn't been great so far, and I have concerns over his work ethic, but he does not lack size. He gave Willis Meehan, the largest human since Dane Lawrie, a chance that didn't work out. We spoke to Paul Vaughan and all but signed him before the Queens offered him more than double. We enquired after Klemmer (I believe). We had one half and he got Mitch Moses over.
My point is, I guess, that BA knows the issues in the side. He also knows that there is no point paying overs for the best available if the best available is still pretty much tripe (ie Rein). I like that approach. We have, in the past, completely f**ked our cap (to the point that we had to cheat ffs!) signing dross and searching for a fast fix. The sad reality is that unless you get really lucky (look at Newcastle) there is no fast fix. Are we going to be so quick to forget BA's successes? Gutherson, Brown, Moses, the development of our own players?
The guy knows what he is doing, and he also knows that it doesn't happen overnight. I have never had this level of faith in an Eels coach. Not even Smith.
And that's as serious as I will get for tonight. I've had a miserable day mentally, a bottle of pinot, and I just want to troll dumb death riders.
He played over 70 NRL games for them.Evans is a Roosters reserve grader, and is our only addition to our forward pack, a pack that needed additions, astute ones.
We should've made Bruce stadium our home ground. Much colder there.
Let's gloss it over....lol. Y'all keep bringing up the heat like there is only one team is playing in it. No team has ever won a premiership after getting done by 50+ in a regular season game to my knowledge. Not that I'm a stats sort of guy.The game was lost after the first 20 minutes. There were opportunities within that first 20 to recover but errors and poor discipline really cost you guys. You can’t really recover in that heat either. Manly have always excelled at attacking play and I thought everything clicked for them today. Losses like that are always hard to cop, but things will get better for you guys. A good ass whopping will wake everyone the f**k up.
You flip and flop so much that of course you will admit to being right about a bunch of previous coaches. What you won't admit is that you also wanted to intermittently boof them and/or marry them as well.
I remember all of the pantomime with Kearney, Hagan and Stuart. I also remember some people expressing reservations before the likes of Stuart had even started but they aren't bragging about it now.
I don't think your opinion is particularly radical. I'm just highlighting that you aren't very measured in your assessment of the ability of coaches. I get it though mate. You are frustrated and want to see us f**ken win something!
That's why we need measured heads like Max and Bernie in charge of the club so that we avoid going back to the days of a revolving door of coaches.
Merkins have been calling for his sacking every year, though this is the first time it happened by round two.Every year? This is his 5th year. Are you f**king serious? We have never had more stability since Brian Smith.

So you have basically just pulled that one out of your backside and will bank on nobody checking it?Let's gloss it over....lol.
