I must be missing something. The Kenny Edwards situation is perplexing for me. As much as other teams fans hate the guy, hell even I do on occasion, they are all first to admit the guy adds something to the team when he's there, and now we can't find a spot for him in the 17?? What gives?

Hayne looked mainly disinterested. He'd be on the wing for mine not fullback. Hes nowhere fit enough for fullback in my opinion.

I really thought we needed team changes after the Panthers game but as usual BA decided to cut and paste. I started to think that maybe BA was correct. Dont panic and stick solid after one average performance.
What then happened was BA did indeed make changes. It showed he was concerned about our second half D so he made adjustments. This was reinforced when we decided to run into the wind in the first half.
Obviously he wasnt confident. His presser said he didn't see todays performance coming. I think his changes show he was indeed concerned.

Agreed. He didn't want to roast his players in front of the media. I'm sure he'll do it behind the scenes though.

I don’t know if you realise it but I get a feeling about coaches pretty early. I predicted way before many here that Kearney would get the arse. Did the same with Hagan and more recently with Stuart.

I called for Stuart’s head way before anyone else. BA however is different. I think he is a good coach but he has plenty of weaknesses.

He doesn’t make the tough calls on player selections, his tactics can be questionable at best and he has been out coached so many times.

It is obvious he needs help. He is struggling. Him admitting that he didn’t see this coming is worrying. He isn’t a rookie anymore. He actually looks clueless out there and if he doesn’t get this side into the 8 then he should be thrown out on his ear.

Enough of this patience shit. I’ve been patient for over 30 years and have earned the right to have an opinion no matter how radical some softcocks here think it is.

I agree. But I will give BA the full season and then judge. Its his squad and he has the chance to take us all the way. Lets see what he does with team selection this week

I for one admire your positivity when all is dire. I have noticed however a certain amount of annoyance and negativity today in some of your responses. My big question is.

The worry for Brad Arthur is that he, presumably, had his best 17 pegged come round 1...2 weeks in to the season it appears that 17 are a long way off being the team we need to give us a tilt at the premiership. So do you stop the bleeding now and admit you completely misread the way NRL 2018 was going to go? Or do you stick to your guns and follow through and hope things click? I think BA will take the latter route than the former.
Theres plenty of concerns right now but for me, it's the complete ineptitude in our ability to run even something resembling a decent backline movement. Left hand doesn't seem to know what right hand has planned. It was supposed to be our strength this year. At the moment it's as poor as everything else about our game.

Amazingly - we have scored more tries than the Tigers and they are 2 and 0.

It appears not but the defensive inadequacies on display were often visitors last season as well. I think our wrestle remains poor as well as our ability to slow the ruck. When the opposition goes to another level we are and have rarely been able to go with them. Remember last season when more that many penalties against led directly to trys.
We need more than effort to be a truly top team.

Nothing to do with the heat. Poor execution, stupid errors, ill-discipline and all round failure to be in the contest. Manly deserved to beat us by more.

You flip and flop so much that of course you will admit to being right about a bunch of previous coaches. What you won't admit is that you also wanted to intermittently boof them and/or marry them as well.

I remember all of the pantomime with Kearney, Hagan and Stuart. I also remember some people expressing reservations before the likes of Stuart had even started but they aren't bragging about it now.

I don't think your opinion is particularly radical. I'm just highlighting that you aren't very measured in your assessment of the ability of coaches. I get it though mate. You are frustrated and want to see us f**ken win something!

That's why we need measured heads like Max and Bernie in charge of the club so that we avoid going back to the days of a revolving door of coaches.
