I reckon people are a little harsh on Tonga. He has been injured a lot lately, but he's a class player.

It means the same as 'though' or 'however', so why not stick it at the end of a sentence?

Hehe.. correct usage of 'but', 'though' and 'however' are as conjunctions hence my sarcastic dig at you :D

Seriously however I was trying to get my post count up, but I can't really be assed and will only comment on footy related things in future, though there may be some stuff ME posts that I cannot resist responding too but.

I heard earlier today that BA might be ok with Kelly at 7 despite his lack of "play making" cause we have strike power supporting him in Norman, Hayne, Hoppa and Tonga.

That's very interesting. And it would be very disappointing if Kelly doesn't improve with experience.

After a game at lock, he wouldn't be a fit Tonga anymore.

Are you serious?!

If Tonga is fully fit I like the idea of seeing him, Hopoate and Morgan all taking the field but I don't like the idea of Morgan being moved to the wing. I would prefer to see Radradra and Sio out there. Maitua also struggled with injuries etc and he spent plenty of time at lock so that's why I suggested it. You're probably right that he might not cope with the workload and given we don't have the biggest forward pack we may need someone bigger playing there, but he's too good to be playing for Wenty and I think Morgs deserves to retain his spot in the centres.

this Morgan love in is going way TOO far!!!!

he is a decent first grader at best. Hopoate is the most talented young outside back i've seen in years and Tonga is a genuine rep player!

I don't reckon Pauli will play on the edges.

Not overly....but I know that's where he's preferred at nrl level... I'll be watching him very closely on Saturday night to see how he handles it.

It's why he was suddenly played on the edge at the back end of last year Pou.

Young bloke being prepped for bigger things.

I wouldn't have thought he'll start the season in top grade.

Actually I was at that first game - the night Manly belted us in both games at Parra Stadium. My first live Eels game in two years. Pauli Pauli was massive that night on the right hand side. Ordinary in defence but. I didn't realise it was his first game of the year in the second row.

Yeah I guess. I never know how much they're using NYC to prepare players for higher grades or whether they're just trying to win games. Though when Vai Toutai started the year (and made nearly every one of his NYC appearances) on the wing I figured he was being prepped for senior footy. But Pauli just doesn't seem a good enough defender for an NRL edge forward. I assumed he was moved out wide to give our under 20s some attacking punch.
