Davis bombs a certain try.

We make a break with the set after the try. A grubber is out ahead and 3 unmarked parra players. Davis rushes to pick up the ball and knocks on.
It would have been a certain try with a bit more time taken.

Great set by parra.
20 restart and we roll down the field, hit alioai on the bursts again and he is over.

Conversion successful

Parra 16-12

And just as I praise our Defence.

Dogs score once again out wide thanks to a 3 on 2 over lap.

Conversion unsuccessful

16 all.

2 min to go

Wow!

Dogs 10 out and infront, setting up for field goal. And a massive tackle has produced a knock on.
Huge play!

1 min to go, can we create a miracle...

Almost was a miracle.

We go the length with some passes, but on the final pass we lose the ball. I think he was taken before the he caught the ball.
Red had the whistle in her mouth, but surprise surprise didn't blow a penalty.

Games finished

16-16

One that got away from us tonight, we were the better team tonight.

Defensive lapses really hurt us by our defence has really improved in the last 4 games.

Just quickly Forty20. Hey i just got your name- Kick a 40/20.... Funny.

Who graduates from under 20's for next year? And of them who have we held onto?
I was curious about Davis? I thought he may of played a few wenty games this year.As far as i know he remains un-signed. Also are there any others you would hold onto who are graduating but off contract.
Im guessing Twal-Aliaoi-Fuimano & French are the pick of the bunch. I expect Twal all to be playing a fair bit of Wenty next season....

Oh and on Davis whats your thoughts? Star in the making -solid first grader or a bust?

Guys like DWZ - Valentine Holmes are same age and have stamped themself on the NRL already. I know some devlop a little later but usually the real good ones are tasting first grade by 20.

Davis won't be at the club next year mate..or at the very least his long odds

I remember 2 yrs ago someone quoted Tanginoa and Davis where the best juniors since Nathan Hindmarsh . Neither have developed as we thought. Davis i still think will taste first grade at some stage but a star perhaps not.

Any good backs coming thru other then French? Its beena w hile since we developed a gun centre or wing ( Well semi was a convert )

Our outside side back depth is laughable yet we can't keep one of the more promising players coming through??? And he also kicks goals.

Our young blokes have gone backwards big time this season, yeah what a great call it was to replace Holbrook and full-time staff and a numpty of a coach who has been overlooked for the job twice before.

He wasn't impressive last year either, he just had more and better opportunities behind a dominant pack, proving that at least 50% of an outside back's form is down to the players around them.

As for NYC coaching, it matters little to their development - it only goes for a couple of years and these kids are part time anyway. An off season with the full time squad is worth more than all the rest of the training though the year.
