Being selected in the Jnr Kangaroos offers no certain pathway to an NRL career, but there is no doubting that there are some quality names here.

Even though it seems like Matto is destined for lock, I think we'll look to develop him as a half next year. If he works on his kicking game he could become a solid half as he didn't appear to have many defensive deficiencies when in NSW cup.

I think he has too good a ball playing game not to play half or 5/8.

I'd love to see he and ZDC stay together as a combination and develop together so we may reap the rewards later.

At the moment I can't see ZDC becoming a regular first grade half. He gets a bit too excited/nervous in some plays and seems to rush his hand and pushes a pass a bit too early. That calmness should come with playing experience, and I think he'll be playing a fair bit of NSW cup to work on that sort of stuff. I'm really interested as to how Dargan will progress in the Ball season next year and if he is promoted to the NYC earlier on.
