Early ball down their left edge again. Parra repel them and they wing back to the other edge where they too chalk up another god damn mistake. Mind numbing stuff going on in the second half.

The players can't even use rain as an excuse at the precipitation has held off.

Excellent run there from Amone I believe as he steams 20m down field. As expected at this point, the Eels undo the goo work with an error in the next play.

I'm having trouble stringing together more detailed commentary at this stage as there are so many errors.

Annnnnnnnd as I finish that sentence, thank you Canterbury for coming up with another error.

Miski comes in field for a carry and gets lifted up and then put down gently and then his left-edge cohort Reimis Smith tries to help the forwards but loses the ball in the tackle 10m into Canterbury's half.

I'm *this* close to stabbing my eyes with a pen.

Great run from the Bulldogs' halfback as he slcies through our left edge. He is pulled down 10m short of the try line. The Dogs then look for a kick into our in goals but French fields it on the full and looks to be away as he streaks down field but the ref calls play back for a shepherd...

Gee that was a rough call. He took the ball right behind his player and didn't have much else to do.

Never mind that though, French again comes up with a nice play as he scoops the ball up from a loose pass down our left edge and gets the turnover. A penalty quickly comes afterwards to take us up to half way.

Twal take the ball towards the posts and from the next play ZDC looks to run it. He brushes past some sliding defence after a big step off his right foot but en route to the try line the ref again finds a shepherd. That one looked more like a correct call from my angle.

Again the Dogs find a linebreak via their #7 but he decides to kick ahead instead of take the tackle and the cover defence from the Eels secures the ball.

All of a sudden the game has opened up and as I say that, Clay I believe has kicked a 40/20!

Well that was a bold move from Davis! Chiming in on the classic sweeping play down the right he is confronted with a defensive line that has cohesively shot up. He quickly puts the ball to boot early in the count and rolls the grubber in behind for Aaron Pene who has a world of time and space to pick it up and score. Somehow, incredibly given the state of the second half, he obliges and scores his second of the day.

The conversion is successful.

Parra lead the Dogs 30-10

Second on the clock now.

And the siren rings out to bring an end to this awful second half. Thank goodness for that!

Solid win when all is said and done with the majority of the damage done in what I was told was a good first half effort. Not sure what went wrong for both teams in the second stanza but when I say it was a dropathon, you guys have no idea.

Thanks forty.

Gee how frustrating not being able to watch game live. I'm pretty sure the club would be filming it for training purposes - why can't they just stream it like forty did?? Doesn't need to be a fancy production. I would pay for it. Same goes for nsw cup

Summed it up well Forty. That second half was horrible to watch

At least it was an improvement on last week, although the #7 for the Dogs punished us twice for defensive lapses down our left edge. Our right look a world better compared to Round 1, but now that we know that Aloiai copped an injury sometime last week I am not sure when he went off against the Sea Eagles which might explain some of the issues.

Either way we got the 2pts which is something.

Panthers are meant to be one of the better under 20's sides and they defeated dogs with a very similar score last week (30 to 12).

Spoke to one of the NYc coaches this week, he said last weeks game made them think " who are these players.", as they weren't the ones who played in the trials

Thanks 40, at least they seemed to turn up for the first half, would imagine some more hard work this week at training

Agreed.
The most important part of tonight was to get the points, no matter how we did it.
